"Hey, give me a little smile" Nicholas asked as he touched the tip of Dara's nose. The girl hissed. His lips were pursed since before entering the luxury boutique in downtown Edinburgh.
"If you keep quiet like this, how am I supposed to know which dress you want?" nicholas was frustrated.
"All the dresses here are very expensive" Dara said. He suddenly felt insecure. For what she wears a dress as expensive as that, if her daily life is hard.
"You don't have to look at the price. Just pick what you want."
Dara took a deep breath. He looked at Nicholas with a look that still looked sad. "Do I really have to go to the party? Why don't you come alone?"
"I've already told you the reason."
"Then you don't have to come."
"I've also told you why."
Dara took a deep breath. What would he do at the rich man's children's party. It will look like an alien.
Nicholas sounded bitter, then spoke to the shopkeeper who had been waiting for them to choose a dress. "Please choose the dress that best fits this Miss."
"Okay, Mr. Johanssen."
Dara turned to look at the shopkeeper woman who was choosing a dress. Even a luxury boutique keeper was so beautiful and elegant. He then looked at his reflection in the mirror. Shabby, very uninteresting. She's not as pretty as Alison. Ah-she is the ugliest girl in the world.
"Well, hey, Dara!" call Nicholas while shaking the girl's shoulder.
"What?" ask Dara lirih.
"Why are you crying again?" Nicholas removes the clear twirls on Dara's cheek with the palm of his hand.
"Who is crying?" Dara hurriedly shrank the tears that were still left with the back of her hand.
Nicholas shakes. Then he looked at the shopkeeper who called out to him. The woman showed a sleeveless salem-colored dress that was a simple design, but still looked expensive.
"Yes, that's good" Nicholas agreed.
"Please, Miss." The woman handed Dara the dress and escorted the girl into the dressing room.
Nicholas throws his smile at Dara before the girl closes the door. He waited for a while with his chest pounding. She was sure the dress would fit perfectly on Dara's body.
And right, when Dara appeared from behind the door, she was stunned to see the appearance of the girl. Even without makeup, Dara still makes him unable to look away.
"Why see me like that? The dress doesn't fit, does it?" dara asked, breaking Nicholas's mind.
"Oh, perfect. Fits great. Right, aren't you, Miss McKenzie?"
"Absolutely," said the boutique keeper while making a circle with the index finger and thumb.
Dara did not believe Nicholas' words. The young man must have just wanted to make her happy. And that woman called Miss McKenzie must have been paid by Nicholas to say the same thing.
After taking care of the payment and the dress was in Dara's hands, the two left the boutique. Nicholas hasn't wanted to drive Dara home. He took the girl around the city of Edinburgh, enjoying the cool night atmosphere.
He tried to entertain Dara with silly jokes, but was not able to make the girl cheerful again. Nicholas even takes her to a fancy restaurant to enjoy a romantic-according to Nicholas.
After the meal, Nicholas takes Dara to Leith Riverside. Sitting on the grass on the banks of the river whose water looks golden due to the reflection of the lights coming from the surrounding skyscrapers.
"Where ...," call Nicholas.
"I won't let you work at that flower shop anymore."
Dara turned her head towards the handsome young man beside her. His forehead wrinkled. "Why?"
"You can't relate anymore to everything related to that young man."
Dara clucked. "It's easy for you to say such a thing. If I don't work, how do I pay my rent and provide for my daily needs? You're a rich man who doesn't know how hard it is to be poor!" his gerrick.
Nicholas took the phone out of his coat pocket. He fiddled with it for a while, then thrust it at Dara. "Write your account number" he asked.
"What does that mean?" ask Dara in astonishment.
"Have, don't ask too many questions. Just write your account number there."
"What do you want?"
"I'll transfer you money every month. You can pay rent, eat, shop, have fun. Whatever you want to do with that money. Or if you need to, I'll buy you an apartment so you don't have to think about the rent."
Dara's eyes are round. "You want to buy me, huh?"
"Not at all."
"But you must be expecting something from me. There's no way you'd want to do it for free."
"I was expecting you to be my girlfriend, Dara."
Dara flicked her hand. "You see (Yes, right)?" hisses.
"Hey, I won't force you to be my girlfriend this very second. But, as I ask, you should not be lazy to get to know me more closely. I want you to accept me because that's your own desire."
Dara speechless. He saw the cell phone still in Nicholas' hands. He hesitated to accept the item and wrote down the account number there.
"You know, I'm willing to wait. Being your friend first is okay, too."
Dara's eyes turned to Nicholas. He watched the young man for a moment. Come to think of it, this annoying young man has always been there in his time of grief lately. Although, the way Nicholas entertains sometimes really upset him.
"Just write down your account number, Dara. Don't think much" said Nicholas, putting a cell phone in the girl's hand.
Hesitatingly he wrote some numbers, his full name and the name of a bank on the screen. Then handed the flat object back to Nicholas.
"Good girl" said Nicholas happily.
Dara smiled thinly. "Then I'm no different from the girls you're dating, and then get your perks."
Nicholas. "Those girls I bought. And their goal is to get the facilities from me. You're different. I forced you to accept what I wanted to give you. And you don't have to be my girlfriend now" she explained. "Not now, but later," the loop then.
"Gee!" Dara hits Nicholas' upper arm slowly. "Just be like that."
"No." Nicholas shakes. "You should know, I've never had any special feelings with those girls. But with you .. I really like you, Dara."
Dara turned to Nicholas. Looking back at the figure of a handsome young man who honestly had an almost perfect physique. It would be a lie if he was not interested in Nicholas and all his charms. However, it seemed like he had a bad feeling if he nurtured that feeling. Perhaps, from the beginning he had indeed fortified himself not to fall in the charm of the prince of Edinburgh.
