My dispute with Absham

This forest is also a playground for children. Sham (my call to Absham) did not forbid them from playing in the forest as long as they did not enter the forbidden area. Parents also teach their children the extent to which they play in the forest.

Sometimes I just watch quietly. Other times I play with them. Like today when Sham wasn't where I was free to do anything.

I changed my form into a black cat. I jumped in front of them.

"Well there's a cat !"

"Stupid ! There are cats in the woods. That must be a tiger cub !"

"You're blind! It's definitely a cat."

The kids argue with each other. I wagged my tail inviting them to arrest me.

"Catch on !" exclaim those kids. I jumped in agilely but let the children chase after me. Plan succeeded. I led them to the forbidden area.

"Wait on! Mom said don't play there! The danger!"

"It's okay! If we don't say we won't be upset with our parents."

"But." It wasn't finished yet that the boy spoke, a huge white tiger appeared suddenly before them.

They all ran away. I laughed at the frightened faces of the children.

"White tiger. You should show up later. Wait a bit longer." I said in the form of a cat while holding back a laugh.

"But you're back." Said the tiger. He was Sham's loyal son.

"Who did you say came back? " Take a ask of him. Not yet answered, a big panther bit my neck without me avoiding it. My figure who is still a black cat was struggling to hope to escape.

"Hey let me go ! Don't you know who I am !" my peek.

"So this is your behavior as long as I'm not here? " It was my turn to be surprised.

"Oh, uh hello Sham ! You're back already? " My words stammered. I didn't expect him to be back sooner than I thought.

"You lured the children here, and then asked the white tiger to drive them away? " Tegur Sham passed through the mind while his mouth was still bothering to take me.

"I was playing ah, I mean I was teaching them the danger of breaking the rules. So they won't break it later." I answered looking for an excuse as fast as lightning.

"really? Aren't you having fun?"

"I? No Sham . You misunderstood. Really."

"You think I believe ?" Sham was shaking my little body that was on his muzzle.

"Sham, stop ! Don't shake 'em ! I'm dizzy !" I felt everything I saw swaying.

"Take me off ! Don't take me like this ! "

"If it's not like this, then what ? "

"Don't you know how to carry a woman?!"

"I don't see a woman here. I just saw a cat." he said as he took me away.

"Huh! Sham, you're a bitch!"

A moment later, my little quarrel with Sham was interrupted by the presence of a creature that had just entered the forest. Bad feelings hit us both.

Sham let go. I immediately changed my form back. We both went to find the source.

A 12-year-old girl pushed a man in a wheelchair. The one who caught both of us's attention.

I looked towards Sham and he was more calmly responding to this.

"What's this?" I don't understand.

"The man, his heart and mind are consumed by the devil. It's no longer helped. Don't try to cure it! And don't get involved with him. There will be a time when he dies. We don't have to interfere. " She warned me.

I nodded in understanding. But there was a disturbing feeling that I could not get rid of. Unfortunately I realized it too late. The presence of the man became the beginning of the disaster that occurred in this forest.

The girl came to me asking me to treat her master. As Sham said treating the man was impossible. I advised him to stay away from his master. But he won't.

Dutiful little girl. But fate brought him to the wrong man. His life will not be long either.

Shortly after meeting me, the poor girl ended up in the hands of her bastard master. And that was the beginning of a series of murder events that occurred in this forest.

One by one the children's lives were taken to be made as offerings of the devil, to perfect the heresy he had learned.

I was angry but could do nothing. Sham forbid me from getting involved in this. I can only obey. I don't want to give Sham any trouble. Because if I break the rules, Sham will also be punished.

But my patience is to the limit. One time I saw him chasing one of the boys, whom I knew his parents was one of the villagers. The boy also often played in the forest. Somehow he could end up being chased by the criminal.

The boy was cornered like a rabbit in front of a hungry wolf.

"You can't run anymore !" He shouted while swinging his axe. But I managed to hold it and threw it on the ground. He tried to get up. I quickly tied his legs and hands with the strong tree tendrils.

"Tell me, which part do I want to separate first? The hand? The leg?" Threaten me to that tied man. I let the tendril move and pulled his legs and hands slightly to torture him.

"Aaaaakhs!" His screams.

"Do you know who the kid you were chasing was? The son of one of these villagers whom I witnessed his birth, and I waited until he grew up. I have looked after and watched over the children of this village like a mother, and you dare to hurt my children in front of me?"

I clutched his neck and intended to break it. But Sham came and arrested me.

"What are you doing?"

"I'm gonna kill him. Or he'll bring havoc to this village and this forest."

"You can't kill him."

"Of course I can."

"We cannot kill people. Remember ?"

"He's not human!"

"He's still human! Even if he commits a crime we have no right to punish him! Especially to kill him. Let another man judge her." Sham tried hard to persuade me.

Sham lowered his tone and spoke a little more gently. "Killing man is a grave offense to our people. The punishment is no joke. Are you willing to bear the penalty just for killing this fly ?"

"So what should I do?!" My screams let out my anger. Instead of cutting the tendrils of the plant I cut down some tree trunks. As a result, some trees around me fell. While the man ran away scared.

"Calm down! You're freaking the kid out." Said Sham to calm me down. I turned to the boy who was being chased around now curled up trembling. Even as I approached to treat it.

"Sorry it scared you. I just want to help treat your wounds." I said to the boy. Finally the boy let me treat him.

After that, I took the boy to his parents.

"Haris, where have you been?" Her parents cried while hugging her baby.

I left that moving sight. But I was reluctant to go back to the forest. Finally I walked away from the forest that had been my home for hundreds of years. For the first time I was uncomfortable in the woods.
