The Pride of an Ex

The Pride of an Ex
episode 12

"Mama, Ceila wants popo" said Seila when Gunawan was gone.

He recalls his favorite doll.

Mama who saw her granddaughter crying, immediately approached and asked what Seila wanted.

In fact, the plan after returning from the factory was me and Mama had planned to buy a new doll for Seila. But, it had to fail because there was an unexpected incident.

"Hey, why is she crying?" ask Papa.

"Remember, Pah," Mama stroked Seila's hair.

"Buy, don't let the cry go on."

"Udah night, Pah. Tomorrow, will it? early in the morning we buy popo," I said persuading Seila.

However, it cannot. The same feeling of longing the little doll could no longer be contained.

Seila was even louder crying making Brother and his wife come to us.

"Popo, Mah, popo," my son's whining is getting out of hand.

"Popo is what the hell!"

"Doll, brother. It was taken away by her mother-in-law, so Seila could not take it." I answered Miss's question by continuing to fight Seila who was in revolt.

"God... Children's dolls should be kept. That granny asked at the sacrificein times, huh?"

I no longer answer the words of Bang Aldi. Keep the same focus as Seila who tantrums until rolling on the carpet. There is no other way but to go buy a new popo. If Seila wanted to, if she refused and kept asking for the old one, what would I do? ask his mother Nathan to beg?

Aish, it's creepy to go back there.

Thirty minutes passed crying Seila had not subsided yet. His voice was already extremely raucous with sweat flooding his face.

If this was the case, there was no other way but to go to get what Seila wanted. Seila will be strong to resist not snacking or not eating. That's common. But, to separate long time away from the doll, yes as it is today.

Wrong me too, yesterday promised to soon give him a new doll.

But, the incident in front of the factory had taken me time to go to the doll shop.

"Well, yuk, buy yuk". Bang Aldi has his car keys.

He lifted Seila's body that was drooping on the floor. No resistance from my daughter. Long crying made him exhausted and resigned in the carrier by his uncle.

In the car, I fixed Seila's messy hair. Rubbing her tear-filled face with a sense that somehow made me want to cry.

Supposedly, a father was there when his daughter sulked like this. Hugging, giving beautiful words that make her baby calm. But. Look at my Seila. Her first love man had absolutely no role to play for it.

Seila left without her popo, but Nathan didn't ask at all. Ah, don't ask me that little thing, we don't bring a change of clothes he doesn't care.

"Why, Al?" asked bang Aldi aware of my silence.

"It's okay Bang. Just think, is there a doll shop that is still open at this time?"

"She, Al. We go to the mall, there are not only two doll shops, but many and let Seila choose what she wants".

I nodded in understanding.

Ten minutes away, Bang Aldi began to pull his car in front of the building that never died.

There are always people going back and forth from morning until night. Where I used to play spend pocket money until I forgot to go home.
