There are so many inspirational stories from the life of the Prophet SAW that can be exemplified by Muslims. Well, here are 3 choice stories that can be exemplified and learned.

Weak Soft

Prophet Muhammad SAW was a noble heart who was always gentle to others, even to someone who always insulted him. One day, a blind Jewish beggar settled in a market in Medina.

Not only begging, he also always called out the oath and insulted the prophet in front of the passers-by in the market. “Don't approach Muhammad! Stay away from her! Stay away from her! He's a lunatic. She's a witch. If you approach it then you will be affected by it.”

The beggar was almost daily accompanied by a man by his side. The person tenderly and affectionately bribed him. Hearing the insults, the person who fed the beggar just fell silent and continued to feed him food until it ran out.

Until one day the blind Jewish beggar was no longer accompanied by the man who used to bribe him. Then another came and fed him.

The other person is Abu Bakr Ash Shiddiq the friend of the Prophet SAW. When he heard the beggar's oath to the prophet, Abu Bakr's heart and head seethed upon it, and he restrained his anger.

Then the beggar said “You are not the one who used to give me food,” hardik the blind beggar.

“I'm an ordinary person,” said Abu Bakr.

“No. You're not the one who used to come here to give me food. If he comes, then it is not difficult to hold this hand and it is not difficult for my mouth to chew. He always smoothed the food he would feed into my mouth" the blind beggar told Abu Bakr.

Hearing the words of the blind beggar, Abu Bakr could not control his sense of smell. His tears spilled unbearably, he cried until sobbing.

“It's true, I'm not the one who used to come bring food and feed you on that food. I can't be as soft as that guy.”

“Know that I am one of the friends of the person who feeds you every day. The man who used to come here and feed you and feed you has died. I just want to continue the practice that the person left behind, because I do not want to miss a single practice after his departure,” continued Abu Bakr.

Then the blind beggar paused for a moment and asked who had been feeding him and also bribing him. Then Abu Bakr replied, “Keep in mind, that He is Muhammad, Rasulullah Shallallahu ‘Alaihi wa Sallam. The people you despise every day and you despise in front of the crowds in this market.”

ADVERTISMENTS

The blind beggar realized how the man he had been insulting treated him with tenderness and compassion. He felt even worse than anything in the world.

“For so long I have insulted him, slandered him, even when Muhammad was beside me feeding me. But he never scolded me. He even patiently softened the food that was put in my mouth. He's so noble.” The blind beggar said in his cry.

At once, the blind Jewish beggar converted to Islam. He testified before Abu Bakr Ash Shiddiq, saying two sentences of the creed ‘La ilaha illallah. Muhammadar Rasulullah.’ The blind beggar chose to embrace Islam after the curse and his oath of absorption to the prophet Muhammad SAW was reciprocated with sincere affection.

Doesn't Like Saving Money

Prophet Muhammad SAW was a alms expert who never greedy and greedy on treasure. Even he lived a simple life and did not like to hoard property or money in his home.

ADVERTISMENTS

As told in the following story. When the health condition of the Prophet was getting worse because of the pain he suffered, he asked Aisyah Ra about the money he deposited with him before he became ill.

He forgot to leave money and remembered when he was sick. The apostle asked in a raucous voice, “Aisyah, where is the money I once deposited with you before illness?” please share the money in the way of God. Because I will be ashamed to meet the beloved Allah SWT, while in his house there are still piles and deposits of money.”

From the story can be seen how the Prophet SAW is a humble and tuma'ninah. Despite being sick and living a simple life, Prophet Muhammad SAW never wanted to hoard property or eat it his own property. He always shares and remembers others.

Alert and Resolute

Prophet Muhammad SAW is the most obedient man on earth to Allah SWT. Despite having been guaranteed heaven, he remained devoted to worship and fear of Allah SWT. He is also very careful and alert to what he does, including what he eats and drinks.

Once told in a story, one night Aisha RA found the Prophet could not sleep and just flipped his body on a bed filled with anxiety.

He asked, “O Prophet, why not sleep all night?” The Prophet replied, “Today I found a date in the middle of the road, then I took the fruit and ate it because I thought it was better to eat than rot and waste, now I feel uneasy because who knows if the date I eat includes alms.”

From the story we can know that the Prophet of the SAW has a nature of caution and caution for something that does not belong to him. He was meticulous and strict in applying the law, even just for a date he found on the street.
