The Emperor Neptune

The Emperor Neptune
Responsibility VI

Mark returns to where Kay is at this time, having sent Violet home.

In front of the house Mark met Mike who was walking back and forth with an anxious face.

"Mark, you've been a long time" asked Mike who hurriedly approached upon seeing Mark.

"What's wrong?"

"Mrs. Kay she was unconscious since 1 hour ago. His body was almost frozen cold. We have to bring him back, right away!"

"Where is he now?"

"He's on Gia's side. Gia and his team are handling him in the XU room"

Hearing Mike's words, Mark immediately walked quickly towards the XU room.

(The XU Room is a special room to handle Kay. The room was complete with medical equipment, research, and others.)

Mark opened the door of the room as Kay lay unconscious. Her lips turned blue with her pale face.

A woman approached Mark.

"How's it going?"

"Now he doesn't have enough energy. We better get him back. The energy here is already heavily polluted and impure, it's not good enough for him."

"How long will he last here until we bring him back?"

"Both days. With 3-fold injection. And it would be dangerous if my calculations missed. It's gonna be tough, Mark, because the pattern is getting clearer."

Mark nodded his head.

"All right, we'll bring him back tomorrow night. But now give him a moderate dose and tomorrow afternoon give him a 2-fold dose."

"Although I gave him a moderate dose as usual I guess this time he won't have much effect, because it seems like he's already absorbed greater energy before. The energy absorption is very influential. Because it kept him from receiving the injections for 2 days and therefore he now had to receive a 3X fold dose to balance the energy he got before."

"What?" mark was surprised.

"Look at this, some of these upper patterns are brownish and the pattern below is actually getting red. And look at this, every line is yellow." Gia shows Kay's left chest pattern of fire.

"How did he get it?"

"That's what I don't know. You are always with him you should know better." said Gia while observing Kay's chest.

"Gia, explain to me kira2 which energy can produce such a big reaction?"

"Are you going to look for him?"

"of course. Why would I ask if I just wanted to know!"

Gia thought for a moment later,

"It must be from a person, or from the energy of a place that can absorb its cold energy or channel heat energy into it."

"Someone?"

"Mrs. Kay did not receive the injection for 2 days meaning it happened about 3 days ago. Right so?"

Mark nodded his head.

"Do my orders earlier. Tomorrow morning he'll have to wake up and the night we bring him back."

"Just calm down, I'll use all my abilities. You should also investigate where he got such powerful energy from. That'll help him."

"Surely."

Mark approached Kay.

Just then Kay opened her eyes.

Mark nodded his body.

"Is he okay?" asked Kay in a hoarse and weak voice that was so forced.

"Yes, dlShe's fine. Now he's at his house and resting."

"Hemm.." muttered Kay while nodding her head.

"Mark, tomorrow we run the original plan but with a different narrative."

Mark nodded his head.

"Sir, are you going to give up?"

Kay breathed a heavy sigh. Other than his body feeling so weak it felt like there was another heavier burden that he had to bear.

"It looks like I've made quite a mess in his life. I saw him suffer so much. I don't want to ruin his originally happy life to be full of trouble."

"Why don't you try to be more patient?"

"I really want Mark. But the energy that attracted me was too strong."

"So the big energy you got a few days ago is from Miss Violet?"

Kay nodded her head justifying Mark's guess.

"Why did you just let her go? Didn't you even come all the way here to look for him directly? Now you've found it and you're giving up?"

"Mark, you have to remember. Even though we are currently in a very cruel place in the competition for survival but you must remain principled with where you come from" said Kay firmly.

"I'm sorry." Mark lowered his head.

"So this place has a big influence. I was no longer able to refrain from being savage. I'd better get back. There's a lot that needs me, and there's a lot that I need to finish."

"Have you thought about and prepared for all the risks?"

"Since when have we started to fear the risks of our choices, Mark? Whatever the risk, don't we still have to account for it?"

"You're very right sir."
