The Hunch That Slices
The next morning, as usual Erik had breakfast with his wife before he left for the store.
"Bah breakfast first, already mamah ready nih" said Dona while serving food.
"Yes mah" said Erik while eating his food.
"Pah mamah apologized about the malem" said Dona regretted.
"Yes, it's okay, last night papah is just a little bit more tired again" said Erik calming.
"Oh well mah later if papah has not come home too, mama ate the same sleep first. No need to wait for papah" Erik told me.
"Where are you going to get the reward? Not usually though. Usually papah always want to wait the same mama" asked Dona wonder.
"Not anywhere. Papah just does not want to mamah kelama because waiting for papah not return home" said Erik.
"Mamah must always wait for papah. Kan mamah must be a good wife for papah" said Dona with a smile.
"Jaudah is up to you. Papah go first yes" said Erik in a hurry.
"Yes pah carefully on the way yes" said Dona.
"Yes mah. Take good care of yourself even if there are no papah" said Erik while kissing Dona's forehead.
After that Erik went to his car and Dona felt bad because of her husband's words. She felt the feeling of being left by her husband. But he did not want to think about it because he did not want anything unwanted to happen. He also went back into the house.
Meanwhile, at the bakery, Erik came and was greeted by his employees.
"Good morning sir" said the entire employee.
"Morning" Erik said with a smile.
"Oh well for your salary later I love you before you go home" added Erik.
"Yes, thank you" said all employees with enthusiasm.
Erik entered his room and all the employees did their jobs again.
"Eh put.. You feel there is something strange not the same Mr Erik?" ask Andre to the Son.
"How weird does Dre mean? I see it as usual" said Putra.
"It was strange that his attitude suddenly changed. Rich people want to die" said Andre wonder.
"Hush... Don't talk carelessly about you. What if Mr Erik is met? We have just continued to work" said the Son to Andre.
The son and Andre continued their work even though Andre still felt strange at the attitude of Mr. Erik who suddenly changed in his employees.
It was time for the store to close and Erik gathered all his employees before returning home.
"I'm sorry if my attitude has made you hurt or made you uncomfortable. I feel so guilty to you for making you miserable" Erik said with regret.
"This is your salary that I haven't paid. Hope you are not in trouble anymore. And I'm sorry again because I'm afraid I don't have time to apologize to you" Erik added.
All employees finally get their salaries, but they are very confused by Mr. Erik's attitude which is very changed.
"I go home first yes" said Erik while smiling at all his employees.
"Yes sir carefully walked" reply all employees.
After Erik left the store, Andre was still astonished and wondered about the change in his boss' attitude to his employees.
"That's my put saying what too. Mr. Erik is rich people want to die to say that!" said Andre.
"Maybe he realized it was his fault. Not because they want to die. You're the fuckin' shit!" said the Son replied Andre.
"Yes Dre. I am also dizzy with the words of you who digress it" said the Son riding his motorcycle as well.
They finally came home on their own bikes.
Meanwhile, at Erik's house, his wife had been waiting for the return of her husband. She did not want to eat before her husband came home, although her husband warned her not to wait for him.
"Where are you. It's a long time. The phone was not answered" said Dona worried.
While waiting for Dona to watch tv. As Dona waited, she fell asleep on the living room couch.
Until he woke up to the incoming phone call.
"Kring..kring...kring.." Phone ringing sound. Dona picked up the phone call.
"Who is this with?" ask Dona.
"Hello good night, ma'am. Is this true with Erik's brother's wife?" said someone from the phone.
"Yes right. Who is this?" ask Dona back.
"I'm from the police, want to tell my mother that Erik's mother's husband, brother, was the victim of a murder. His body is now in Bela Medika Hospital. I'm begging you to go to the hospital immediately". Shocked and saddened Dona heard such news. She did not expect that her husband had died and this morning was the last conversation with her husband.
After that, he rushed to the hospital and asked for the company of his house security guard.
"Sir Joko... Mr. Joko. take me to the hospital sir" in a soft voice Dona.
"What's wrong, ma'am?" Joko asked confusedly.
"Father died sir" said Dona in tears.
"Huh? is dad dead, Mom? ask Joko in shock.
"Yes sir" said Dona back
Good ma'am I deliver" said Joko.
During the trip, Dona was incessantly crying. She regrets because she has not been able to be a good wife for her husband, and has not even given the happiness that her husband craved that is giving him a child. But all that is just a regret and can not make her husband come back to life.
Arriving at the hospital he met with the police who were waiting for his arrival.
"Where is my husband?" dona asked a policeman.
"Calm down Mom, your husband's body is now in the morgue. Let me take you" said the police.
When Dona entered the mortuary, she saw her husband's body covered by a white cloth. Dona's cry broke again after seeing her husband who had stiffened, then she hugged his body. Dona cried and unceasingly called her husband's name.
"Wake up. Sorry mamah pah" said Dona continued to cry.
"That's hard, ma'am" said the police calming.
After she started to cry, Dona asked the police.
"Who would kill my husband sir?" asked Dona in a trembling voice.
"We don't know yet, ma'am. Because at the scene there was not a single person who saw the incident" said the police.
"But I'm calm. We will conduct an investigation into the case to the fullest" the police added.
"Quick find my husband's killer sir. I can't accept my husband being killed" Dona said in a fit of rage.
"Good Mom. We'll find the culprit soon" police told Dona.
The dark night continued to pass accompanied by the sorrow of Dona who was very deep for the departure of her husband.
