After Leon catches up with Anindira and Rajendra to the airport, Leon is saddened that he is too late to see them.

For 15 years Leon never wanted to be in contact with a woman again, nor did he ever contact Anindira and Rajendra again because he felt unworthy, he thinks Anindira and Rajendra are already happy with his new life with Dean.

He thought that if he contacted them, he would only disturb their happiness.

Leon tried many times to try to contact them but he always abandoned his intentions.

Hence when they meet Leon they are shocked, especially Rajendra.
