Elder Lan's Plan
Two investigators were surrounded by ten cursed beings of a high level. From Ye Chen's eyesight, one investigator could face three or four opponents but their opponents numbered ten so they started to get desperate.
Fortunately Giro came at the right time, the two people survived death. The Giro wiped out the damned creatures.
Ye Chen used a facial and aura altering technique, He came at the two investigators who were stabilizing his energy.
"Are these creatures just them?" ye Chen asked, He used Giro's face as a diversion while Giro was already hiding inside Ye Chen's shadow.
The two investigators looked wary, knowing the place was only a handful of people. Ye Chen who was aware of the attitude of the two people in front of him understood, he quickly took out the investigator mark token and showed it to the two people in front of him.
"Senior, I'm sorry I didn't recognize you" said one of the two investigators, a girl.
Ye Chen shook his hand, "So how?"
"Senior, we were both assigned to guard here. We were just about to come back but all of a sudden and out of nowhere, they showed up and immediately attacked us."
"Then, you guys go home, let me take care of it here Ye Chen said.
"But...
"Nothing but but, come home, didn't you also want to go home?" said Ye Chen.
After the two investigators left, Ye Chen and Giro followed the trail of the aura of the cursed creature left behind. "Meet, hehe it turns out that way" said Ye Chen who found a dimensional gap where the appearance of the cursed creature that attacked the investigator. He finally realized that the black stone attached was only a diversion. The real place is on the other side which is quite far from there.
"Sir, are we in?" tanya Giro who saw Ye Chen looked doubtful.
"No, not now, I still need to know what to install the black stone for as a diversion. There must be something hidden here."
"You're right, sir."
"We go back first, remember to erase your tracks" Ye Chen said and they returned to the academy.
Arriving at the academy, Ye Chen immediately went to the place where the investigators gathered, there might be another clue there, he thought.
Beyond Ye Chen's expectations, though, it turned out that there were already two core investigators who entered the dimensional gap that Ye Chen had just found and two other investigators who were there were assigned to guard and observe in case there were any clues the disappearance of two of their colleagues.
"What is the black stone there for?" asked Ye Chen to the other investigator who had just testified to Ye Chen.
"We'd better wait for Elder Lan to explain it." replied the investigator.
Before long, elder Lan finally appeared. He's in serious mode, he said straight to the point. "Some time ago, we got word of the appearance of a very powerful Devil who might be messing around in the sky realm. That's why we put black stone as a diversion so that the Devil's accomplices in the sky are interested and go there."
"Unfortunately, two of you are trapped and can't get out of there" Elder Lan said.
"Elder, where does that dimensional gap lead?" ask Ye Chen.
"To the dimension of the damned creature. Take it easy, there are already people going to pick them up. You guys can disperse."
Ye Chen and Giro were already in front of a dimensional gap connected to the dimension of the damned creature. "Giro, if I can find out anything about the Demon Lord, I won't wait too long" Ye Chen said before entering.
Following his instincts, Ye Chen was now in a building, the only building that existed within his search radius.
Ye Chen did not directly enter but rather waited from a place a bit far away. He wants to see the activity in there. "Oh they're captive investigators." He recognized the investigator, the two were the same people He had saved.
The two investigators were already free, Ye Chen collected so because there were five others who seemed to come to their rescue.
"Eh? they're not out anymore?" Ye Chen who saw them enter the building felt astonished because after a long wait, it turned out that the seven people who entered the building in front of him did not come out.
Ye Chen tried to detect it but there was no one else there. "Could it...?" Ye Chen who realized something immediately jumped into the building and what he found made him smile with satisfaction.
It turned out that he found an active portal there with its two black stones as the entrance. Without a second thought, Ye Chen went in and out where the investigators used to gather.
"Connect here?" ye Chen asked quite astonished, at first He suspected that the portal was connected to the Demon King or one of the Devils as He had understood all this time but he was wrong. "Ye Chen then went in again, then called the Giro to come back.
"Master, could it be elder Lan...?"
"I don't think so, I confirmed it a few days ago. I thought more about how the tools used by Devils can be used by humans, isn't that strange?"
"Maybe the one who did that was a strong person. The black stone might just be a tool sir or this guy managed to unravel it" Giro said.
"you go back Giro, clean up all the remaining traces of aura in the house."
"Good sir."
Ye Chen returned to his old activities as usual, playing in the kitchen and lying in the room. One day, Giro suddenly arrives. "Master, look, I found this halfway to the house." He handed a piece of paper to Ye Chen.
"When did you find him?"
"Two days ago sir, I investigated the place first so I didn't have time to tell you."

The paper in Ye Chen's hand contained a call to the entire Demon leader to attend a meeting that would be held the next few days.
