Refusing Matchmaking

Refusing Matchmaking
Chapter 37

A few weeks had passed and today Laura was preparing to come to John's house and meet Agatha intending to apologize to the middle-aged woman. On the other hand, he now feels more comfortable with John, and he has agreed to marry the man immediately.

After several times John expressed his love for Laura and begged her to be his wife, finally Laura can no longer lie to herself that she has fallen in love with John plus the treatment that John has done that always makes her like the happiest woman in the world. The more he spent time with John, the more convinced he was that the man named John loved him.

"I hope she is my first and last love" Lirih Laura as she stared at herself through the reflection of the large mirror that was in her room.

Laura was wearing a dress with a sea-blue knee length that made her white skin look brighter. He smiled at her who looked very beautiful, his heart felt flowery after officially becoming John's lover and ending the play together with John. But on the other hand he still felt very afraid and worried if Agatha would reject him and not give him the blessing to be John's wife.

It didn't take long for Laura to reach John's mansion. His heart was pounding very fast, his left hand that never escaped from John's grasp and made Laura become a little calmer because John was always able to make her comfortable.

Laura felt so misbehaved that John looked at her without blinking a single bit, "Stop looking at me like that John," Laura said. But he did not stop looking at her.

"Why should I stop staring at this beautiful girl? I will not let anyone or any man dare look at my beautiful lover" said John, who managed to make Laura laugh quite loudly.

"You are," said Laura and followed John, who began to walk into his house.

"Sit down! When are you gonna stand there?" Agatha said in a slightly tinge-sounding voice in Laura's ear.

Laura looked at John and immediately sat down on the sofa and faced Agatha head-on. Laura just looked down from feeling so sad, Agatha did not welcome her as warmly as she used to. Laura is well aware of the changes Agatha made due to her mistakes as well as John's mistakes.

"What are you coming back to Laura's house for?" Robert asked which made Laura even more uncomfortable at this moment.

"A.I want to apologize because the mistake I made with John lied to you at that time," said Laura who did not dare to look at the two middle-aged people before him.

Agatha got up from her seat and walked over to Laura, the middle-aged woman hugged Laura very tightly with the sound of crying.

"I've forgiven you. I love you so much, Laura, and I just want you to be my granddaughter's wife. I will forget the lies you have done before, open a new page and I ask you to be true lovers" said Agatha while looking seriously at Laura and John's faces.

Laura who heard John's words immediately felt relieved and happy because Agatha still accepted it and even gave her blessing to marry John.

"Next month Laura and I are getting married, Grandma," John said that made everyone in the room like surprised to hear it and Agatha hugged Laura again because she was very happy and impatient waiting for the wedding of John and Laura.
