Phantom Kid in the American Comic World

Phantom Kid in the American Comic World
55. Black and White Collision

"Batman, I didn't think you'd come back."

After a long confrontation, Mathison smiled gently and asked as if she was a good friend she had known for a long time.

”Not ... for certain gems I stole earlier, right?”

The Phantom Kid's voice was soft enough that only he and Batman could hear it.

He implies that he knows Batman's true identity.

Batman looked unchanged as if he had not heard Mathison's words.

”Phantom Kid, you've stolen Adam Star, Cat's Eye Emerald, and Tamil Ruby in a row; they're worth at least billions of dollars combined.”

Batman looked at Mathison and said in a harsh voice.

”Although, in the end, you returned the Emerald and Ruby to their owners, and most of the funds from the sale of the Star of Adam were donated to many people, this did not make your actions acceptable. Stealing is not the right way to show off your magical talent!”

Hearing those words, Mathison froze, so that was how she was actually portrayed in Batman's eyes.

"You're young and you haven't really done anything unforgivable so if you stop there, I can leave you alone."

Batman doesn't seem to show much hostility towards the Phantom Kid, he's like an elder who can't bear to see his junior get lost.

"Batman, before you persuade me to quit, don't you think what you're doing is even more unacceptable than me?"

Phantom Kid asks rhetorically in the face of Batman's persuasion.

"You disregard the law, do not ask for evidence, and recklessly cross the courts to punish sinners just to carry out what you believe to be justice."

”You don't care as long as the criminals are sent to the Blackgate Correctional Institution by you. You do not consider the severity of the crimes they committed, or if you have broken their hands, legs, or caused them hemiplegia. Do you think this severe punishment is nobler than my behavior?”

"It is not destined for a man who never obeys the law to make others of the same kind obey it."

Phantom Kid threw back his robe, his gaze clear and cold.

"Batman, what position do you really have to persuade me to stop?"

Hearing his voice, Batman was silent for a moment. He saw determination deep in Mathison's eyes and immediately understood that such a person could not be easily persuaded.

Since the communication did not work, he had to rely on his fists!

«That sentence from before.. Does he suspect my identity..».

Batman's gaze grew colder, and his entire figure was shrouded in a cold aura of carnage.

Invisible, a heavy aura affects Mathison.

If he had not known that Batman had taken the oath "to never kill", Mathison would have thought that the man in front of him was a butcher who had come out of a mountain of blood.

"Maybe you will learn what is right and what is wrong when you are taught a lesson."

As soon as Batman's emotionless voice came down, he launched an attack!

The multi-functional belt is activated and Batman throws his unique symbol onto the Phantom Kid.

Dart Bats!

The black blade spun in the air, reflecting the cold light.

"About!"

As the bat arrow flew between the two, a playing card collided with it, making a sound of steel on steel!

The impact was so great that arrows and playing cards flew backwards and fell to the ground.

Batman can't help but stare at Kid's skill in a flying card.

"I have a lot of playing cards that I want, I don't think you have a lot of bat darts."

Mathison picks up a playing card and throws it at Batman once again.

This time it was the bat arrow that stopped the playing cards.

Batman knew that what Kid said was true and he didn't have many bat arrows on him.

Batman instantly explodes to the limits of human speed, crossing the ten-meter distance between him and Kid in less than a second.

In the blink of an eye, he was right in front of Mathison!

A punch was thrown right into the Phantom Kid's chest.

"Thud!"

In an instant, Mathison only had time to block with her hands crossed and prepare for a hard blow.

“It's fast and heavy!”

This blow is a complete manifestation of Batman's power, perhaps not as strong as one with superpowers, but still clearly at the peak of human power.

After receiving this blow, Mathison felt her arms go numb.

The next moment, an alarm bell rang in Mathison's mind.

Without thinking, he rolled to the side reflexively, forcing himself to endure the pain.

He was able to avoid the next Batman blow.

« Fast movement and fast reaction, but unfortunately not well trained to fight.»

Batman again closes in on the Phantom Kid while still having room to observe Mathison's movements.

Batman is the master of all martial arts on the planet. His skills are almost superhuman. He targets Mathison's vital organs with every kick or punch.

They are fast, accurate, and hard.

Any blow can cause severe pain or break a bone.

Mathison can only rely on her superior motor nerves and light body to constantly dodge Batman's attacks.

"What the fuck? I remember clearly that in the movie, Batman's body was rotting. He hadn't trained for eight years, so he shouldn't have been able to maintain such a high level of fighting strength.»

Faced with another swing from Batman, Mathison leaps forward, extends her hand and presses her hand on Batman's swinging arm to dig up the power again, then directly jumps over his head.

«Could it be my appearance that caused Batman to start his training early? But... that was a month ago at most!”

«Can someone who has a paralyzed body become a super martial arts master at the peak of mankind in a month?»

"How is that possible?"

A drop of sweat was left on Mathison's forehead.

Although he was planning to cast some offensive Red Magic spells, this spell had one very fatal flaw.

Using offensive Red Magic requires the construction of a magic formation first, a long preparation time, and should not be interrupted in the middle.

In his fight with Batman, Mathison did not dare to be rash even if it was only a split second.

Fortunately, his own physical condition was not bad, so he gradually adapted to Batman's speed.

As he dodged his attack, he quietly built a magic formation under his feet.

And though Batman has a faint premonition that the Phantom Kid seems to be up to something, he can't see it, as he's never been exposed to magic before.

It was a mismatch of information, and unfair as it seemed, the battle was not meant to be fair…

Just for the eyes of an outsider, the Phantom Kid was at a very disadvantageous position.

"Look, Batman and the Phantom Kid are fighting!"

"Oh my God, is this a fantasy fight?"

“This is a struggle for life! Batman never lost a battle, as long as he attacked, the white thief was destined to be imprisoned.”

"What?! Batman was the crazy killer from eight years ago. Keep in mind that Harvey Dent died at his hands. What is the right to catch Phantom Kid?”

”Wow, Phantom Kid was beaten all out by Batman.

As soon as the fight in the watchtower began, it caused a fierce debate among the people below.
