Andre Flashback
"Mothers. Why don't you come home again?" Andre asked as he sat at the dining table.
Not an answer he got but a plastic cup that was thrown at him.
Andre's gaze immediately looked at his mother who looked terrifying. Andre forgot he shouldn't have asked about his father. Mom must be mad because she always asks for her dad.
"Andre just eat it." Said his Grandma who was sitting right next to Andre.
Andre is a kid but he will keep remembering his father and mother's quarrels. The quarrel that continues to haunt in his deep sleep. For Andre it was a nightmare, because he didn't want his family to be as unhappy as it used to be, Mom got angry, Dad rarely came home, and now he sees Mom who has changed.
"Andre ate it." Andre looked sad as he got off the chair and left the dining table.
No one knew how much his heart was hurting right now. She just misses her family like she used to, and a good mother no longer gets angry.
"Susan is enough, son! He's your son why are you? Are you unconscious anymore?" His grandmother's screams sounded from inside the room.
Andre was a little surprised and his heart did not stop beating so fast when he heard his Grandmother's scream from outside. But she knew that maybe her grandmother was trying again to prevent Mom from torturing her because of Andre's actions.
Recalling his mistake it made Andre reach for the key and lock the door of the room from the inside with great fear.
"Susan's aware! SUSAN!" Shouts again.
Andre couldn't stand it, but he could do nothing but shut himself up.
"Open the door, Andre! You want to be like your dad? So the man who doesn't appreciate his wife? Are you happy that your father is remarried? You must be educated." Her mother sounded very angry.
Andre did not know now what he could do other than to continue holding the door down while holding back a cry.
"You sure if you're big enough to be like your father, you're his son!" His mother's screams made Andre's heart ache. Andre immediately cried from inside the room.
What is to blame from him? For Andre who knows nothing.
For a woman with limited strength it is not enough to break down a locked door from the inside.
"It's against ya Andre! What do you want to be?" Shouted His mother was dissatisfied because she failed to vent her anger on Andre.
"Susan, watch your words! He's your son don't make him have to accept all his father's faults.!" There was the voice of Grandma from the outside who did not stop lecturing Susan, hoping that her child could understand and be aware of her mistake.
"You hear that? Now satisfied, is there anyone who defends? SATISFIED?" His mother's screams are sounding more and more. He slammed his shoes at the door and left Andre locked in the room.
Andre hears every anger from his own mother, all he can do is close his ears and the constant fear that haunts his mother.
"Grandmother knew Mom was very sad actually. No one knows your mother's sorrow and suffering but herself. That's why your mother became angry. Andre knows yes, there is no mother in the world who does not love her child. Mom's mentality is just being sick she actually needs us the most." Her Grandma assured Andre of all her mother's feelings.
"Wicked mother. I always hit Andre. I'm not satisfied to scare Andre." Andre sounded very disappointed.
"Mother just doesn't want you to be a child who will grow up like your father." Answer the Grandma.
Andre did not reply, but his sobs could be heard so clearly.
"You must have heard it. Your father remarried without Mother's knowledge, including Grandma and you as his Son. How does it feel to be disappointed, right? Your mother can feel more pain than the heart you feel." Obviously his grandmother gave understanding to Andre who was only 9 years old, whether that understanding would be successful or not understood by Andre.
Suddenly the door opened. Andre, who seemed to have cried, hugged his Grandma tightly, hoping that he would not feel disappointed, upset, and sad again about his mother.
"Neek's evil father, why marry again? Andre doesn't know there's a new mother. Andre doesn't want a new mother." Andre said innocently.
His cries broke and all the burden on Andre's chest as a 9-year-old child was removed by talking to Grandma who had taken care of him from childhood.
Until after the incident has passed and the day has changed. His father suddenly came home without his mother. It just so happens that my mother is not home.
From the conversation Father and Grandma Andre heard that Dad wanted to bring a child. Another daughter of another, because his wife died.
Hearing a reality that made Andre immediately stared in disbelief. For her 9-year-old already quite understood a bit what Mother said whenever her Mother was angry and scolded her, and the words of Father she heard now. So Dad is married again and he already has a son. So Andre has another brother.
Grandma was heard complaining, she herself disagreed considering how much her son would be disappointed including Andre. He did not want his grandson, Andre witnessed for himself the mistakes made by his father. He did not want to have his granddaughter mentally distressed because of the selfish parenting problem.
"Would you like to come here?" The sound of Mother's voice made Andre even more curious.
"Susan, my son is now a kara, his mother is dead." Said Father.
"That's your punishment, and don't expect me and Andre to accept your mistress' child!" Susan answered Andre's mother.
"Now that you're gone, I can already make my own money!" Susan kicked Her Husband out.
"I beg you, accept my son!" Her husband's words to Susan were so inappropriate and too presumptuous to say it all before her as the only legitimate wife.
"You're shameless, I don't need you anymore. Don't mention the boy in front of me. And from now on I don't want to be your wife anymore!" Threatening Susan who immediately made her Husband helpless.
Sounds pretty presumptuous indeed, but what can he do again. To take care of a child it seems impossible, other than work, especially?
Her Husband's gaze immediately turned cold, her heart was very sick because Susan never wanted to help him even though as long as she was Husband she had tried to give her best, all the money, facilities, all the money, he fulfilled it as long as his work was smooth and fruitful.
Her husband passed away leaving Susan and her son Andre to live in the house of the Mother-in-law who is not her father-in-law anymore. He did not want to continue begging if it could not be granted as a wish for the little boy who was also his son.
