Chapter 24: The Man of Alice's Past

Regrets always come when we have done something wrong but we assume it is true because it has caused pleasure in ourselves.

Kevin, has regretted his actions after he languished behind bars for mistreating and abandoning his pregnant wife. He realizes his mistake and intends to mend his relationship with his ex-wife, Alice.

Kevin who always defiantly against both his parents decided to leave the house. He meets Alice and embarks on their journey of love, promising to take care of each other, it makes Alice choose to join Kevin even though it has been banned by her parents who want to match her.

Until they decide to get married without their parents' knowledge, Alice imagines they will start a new life that is always in happiness, but unfortunately it is only a dream of Alice.

Kevin who still wanted to spend his youth never thought about his pregnant wife. He even had fun with his friends, he did not even hesitate to do violence to Alice if his wife reprimanded him.

At first Alice was silent because she knew that if that was the path she had chosen, then she had to accept all the consequences. But the more days Alice felt tormented, not just the physical wounds she felt, this time she saw for herself that Kevin had fun with the other woman behind him.

Alice could not stand it anymore, she decided to return to her parents' house with an enlarged stomach because she did not know where else she was going, he had no choice but to go to his parents' house.

In the end Kevin had to account for his actions behind bars. During his sentence, Kevin remembered Alice who always defended him but he hurt Alice's heart which he should have guarded.

After serving his sentence, Kevin intends to start all over again. He wanted to apologize first to his parents, he realized that his biggest mistake was always against his parents.

Kevin managed to meet his parents, he gathered in front of his father to ask for forgiveness for all his mistakes.

"What are you here for? didn't you choose to go?" Mr. Baskoro did not look at the face of the only child.

While the mother immediately hugged him tightly, even though he had been disappointed by his son but Riana still forgave the child's mistakes, even before Kevin apologized for being forgiven by the mother.

"where are you going, son? miss kangen," said Riana's mom.

The tears kept flowing from Kevin's eyes, he remembered the time where always hurt his mother.

"I'm sorry, ma'am!" Kevin hugged his mother tightly, but not his father.

Baskoro continued to stand his back to Kevin, he did not want to see the face of the child who always disappointed him.

"Dad, I beg you to forgive me. I'm sorry. From now on I promise to always obey the orders of father and mother." Kevin stood behind his father hoping that Mr. Baskoro could also forgive him like Miss Riana.

Mr. Baskoro was silent, he still turned his back on Kevin who had failed him, as if there was no more apology for Kevin, he could not easily forgive Kevin.

Not wanting her family to break up again, Riana tried to persuade Mr. Baskoro to forgive his family's successor. In the middle of the chatter of Riana who was trying to persuade Mr. Baskoro, Kevin suddenly said something that made both their parents surprised.

"what? which girl have you married?" asked Baskoro surprised.

Kevin also told everything from the beginning and at the persuasion of Riana, Mr. Baskoro finally wanted to forgive Kevin.

Mr. Baskoro feels sorry for his grandson who has an irresponsible father like Kevin, he will help Kevin to be able to meet again with his son to apologize and correct his mistakes.

Currently Kevin is believed to manage the company owned by his father who will also be bequeathed to him, since long ago, but because Kevin chose his own path, the company was still managed by Mr. Baskoro and now when Kevin replaced his aging father.

Since then Kevin has worked hard to manage his father's company while waiting for news from his father's man who is looking into the whereabouts of his son and ex-wife.

"hello boss, there's good news!" the voice of a man from behind the phone tells Kevin that Alice and Rasya are in a shopping mall.

Hearing the news, Kevin was very happy. He immediately went to the place where Alice and Rasya were to just ask their news, really Kevin really missed Alice.

Arriving at the shopping center, Kevin immediately looked for Alice's whereabouts to every corner of the shopping center until he finally felt tired and chose to rest for a moment.

As she was sitting, her gaze suddenly led to a mother and her son walking hand in hand while humming, a look of happiness on their faces.

Kevin smiled at Alice's sweet smile that had never changed in the past and the boy next to Alice looked so much like her as a child.

Kevin's teary eyes looked at him, he was eager to immediately run holding Rasya and hugging her tightly.

But Kevin hesitates, hesitating that Alice will accept his apology after his body and heart are injured. Kevin backtracked, fearing that Alice would be angry with him and making the child hate him even more.

Longing overcame the fear that was inside Kevin, he rushed to Alice without thinking about what would happen next.

Sure enough, Alice was angry with him because her heart injury was still imprinted and will always imprint even though Alice had forgiven him.

Alice left Kevin without giving him time to talk. Not yet Kevin hugged the tiny body of his son and even asked him, Alice was no longer willing to meet him.

Kevin does not want to force Alice, he can only wait for the right time to talk from heart to heart with Alice.

"I will wait for you at any moment, I'm sure you still have the same taste as before." Kevin stared at Alice's departure with a sad face.

Actually, both parents Kevin already know who is Alice's parents and they have also known him for a long time, it could be that Mr. Baskoro talks about this matter to Mr. Bagaskara, who is really his parents, but Kevin's parents let him find his own way to get back to Alice's love.
