Joe William

Joe William
Carrying Tengku Mahmud again around the beach

A pair of seven-teens had just got off the bike rickshaw they were riding from Indra sakti village to Kuala Nipah.

After paying the fare, they immediately say goodbye and split at a crossroads to return to their homes.

"Joe. I'm first yeah." Said the girl who was indeed his house closer.

"Yes Tiara. After I finish my homework, I'll go to your house." Joe answered with a smile.

Tiara simply nodded with her usual smile and waited until Joe turned right to head to Tengku Mahmud's house which was located at the very end of the house.

As soon as the young man arrived at the stage model's house that was walled in bamboo webbing, he, he saw an old man sitting straightening his legs while fanning his body with a fan that he made himself from the upswing of a tree nut.

"Greetings to You Cake." Joe said as soon as he arrived in front of the stairs.

The young man went straight up. Grabbed the old man's hand and kissed him.

"Hmmm... Why are your clothes so dirty Joe?" Ask Grandpa.

"It's cake. Before we got home, we played basketball first." Joe replied lying.

"Is that really your lie?" Ask the Grandpa who made Joe confused to answer.

"I'll change my clothes first." Joe hurriedly went inside to avoid another question later.

He did not want to be found out that he had been fighting in school.

If Tengku Mahmud finds out, I don't know what punishment the old man will give him. The greatest possibility was to carry the old man in a drum barrel and then run along the beach.

After changing clothes, Joe immediately busied himself sweeping the house, boiling water, then making coffee for the old man.

"Drink cake while it's still hot." Joe said with good intentions. But the reply from Tengku Mahmud made him laugh out loud.

"Drink while it's hot? Would you like to have my tongue burn?" Jerk Tengku Mahmud while glaring.

"Haha. I mean, yeah, blow it first. Uh don't blow. Grandpa has a fan. Yes, in the fan first. Grandpa gob's yes...,"

"Son's son. Want you to tell me I'm a moron, huh? Comehere!" Tengku Mahmud began to get annoyed.

He snaps. But the look on his face was not angry at all. Even seem funny.

"You grandfather what am I?" Joe asked starting to feel something bad in his heart.

"Let's say I'm here! Don't let me come."

"Yes cake. I'm coming." Joe said as he scratched his non-itchy head.

"You are yes... Why call me the no-no? You told me to drink while it was hot. After that you're gonna say I'm a moron." Tengku Mahmud said as he reached for Joe William's ear.

"Ouch. Forgiver. Ouch cake. Could be the length of my ears." Joe said as he grimaced in pain.

"Let's be like the ears of a donkey." Said Tengku Mahmud.

"Hehehe. Just this time there was a teacher who wanted his student disabled. Basic teacher semprul." Joe's words made Tengku Mahmud again twist his ears.

Joe wanted to talk to the old man again. However, he suddenly recalled a message from his father on the phone in order not to fight back and be polite. Later if the old man died, he would definitely feel lost.

Given this, Joe also complied and then stomped the feet of Tengku Mahmud who was fluttering it.

"Tumben you're good this time. What's wrong with you?" Ask Grandpa Tengku Mahmud.

"If it is the son of Satan, it is the devil. You wish me a quick death, right?" Shake the old man with his eyes.

"No. That's not what I mean cake." Said Joe who failed to be sad because of the expression of Tengku Mahmud's funny face.

"If you don't want me to die, you have to practice. If not, I'll bang my head against the wall to die." Threaten Tengku Mahmud to make Joe's mouth agape.

"What other exercises are cakes? Am I not finished?" Ask Joe.

"No word ends Joe. While life is still in your body, there is no end to learning. You can just stop learning if you're already lying on the ground. While you're alive, you'll continue to learn, learn and learn. Even without you knowing it, you are still learning. So don't say it's over!"

"Now let's get off. I'm going to attack you and you're going to have to avoid it. Remember that! I seriously. If you're hurt by your carelessness, then don't blame me!" Tengku Mahmud warned.

"alright. Who's afraid. With a wasp I'm brave." Joe answered and jumped down lightly without stepping on the stairs.

"Hold attack!" Tengku Mahmud said as he threw the glass cover at the young man.

The sound of rustling at high speed directly led to the part of the boy's head. But Joe more swiftly threw a pebble towards the object.

The tring!

There was the sound of something breaking in the air as it fell to the ground.

"My glass cover...!" Tengku Mahmud said as he shouted.

"Basar a moron. I didn't tell you to fend. But evade." The old man snapped as soon as he saw the lid of his glass falling apart.

"Oh so yeah. Repeat the cake." Said Joe.

"What say? It broke so."

"You must be punished. Go to the back and grab that piece of drum! Carry me around the beach for seven rounds!" Tengku Mahmud's Order.

And, the thing that was most feared by Joe also happened in the afternoon.

"Can his sentence be exchanged for another penalty cake?" Joe asked with a face.

Seven rounds is not a moment. Though he still has an appointment to meet Tiara at his house to ask permission to leave for the city of Kemuning.

If he had to carry Tengku Mahmud along the beach for up to seven rounds, it could be until dusk was just finished.

"If you refuse, I'll smash my head against the pillar of this house!" Threaten Tengku Mahmud while taking a swing to bang his head into the porch pole of the house.

"Don't cake! Ja. I'll obey all orders from you." Joe said with a pale face and went straight back to pick up the drum barrel pieces followed by an amused smile from Tengku Mahmud.

Not long after, Joe arrived at the front by dragging a piece of drum barrel made of mixed plastic then put it in front of Tengku Mahmud.

"Nah Kek's. Come in and sit down! I'll take you around the beach." Said Joe.

Now Grandpa Mahmud was sitting in the drum barrel smiling to see Joe staggering awake because he had to crouch to bear the rope contained in the drum barrel.

"Remember Joe! Don't be such a crazy horse anymore. If I die, you won't have any more teacher grandparents." Threaten Tengku Mahmud.

"Yes the cake." Answer Joe.

Then Joe walked to the beach with his back carrying Mahmud's grandfather sitting in the drum barrel.
