Aleena's tears had now flowed profusely and could not be dammed anymore. His heart was broken to hear what his father had told him.
"Well, I didn't do anything wrong, why are you doing this to me?".
Aleena spoke with tears on her cheeks. He looked at the faces of everyone who was there one by one.
"How is that not a mistake. If… ".
"I told you I didn't! Why aren't you guys going to believe me?!".
Aleena interjected by shouting out with all her might so that they would listen to her words.
"People, haven't we known each other for a long time? We've been dating for over 3 years. Do you still not understand me? Well, Mah, Diana, you're my family, don't you even know what my nature is? Why would you do this to me? hiks.. hiks... hiks… ".
Aleena kept crying while questioning everyone for what happened.
Everyone just kept quiet as they stared at Aleena with a cold gaze due to the accusations given to Aleena. Diana and her mother acted as if they were innocent.
Plaque!
"Aleena, stop making a fuss and go home now! There's nothing more we need to hear from your bullshit! Just be ashamed!".
Mr. Bastian slapped Aleena again violently before he asked Aleena to go home in a cold and vexed manner.
Aleena looked at everyone's faces with anger and disappointment while holding next to her cheeks.
"I hate you all!".
Aleena ran out of the hotel while continuing to cry. He walked through the dark night amid the rain that fell down with a torrential rain.
Angga was about to chase Aleena as soon as she ran, but Diana held her back.
"We should all go home. Today must have been very tiring, so all must rest immediately".
Angga's father opened his voice amid the silence that occurred after Aleena's departure.
"You're right. We better go home and rest. Next time we will gather again to discuss what we should do in the future for our child's engagement" Diana's father responded in a calm manner.
"I agree with your words".
Angga's father extended his hand to Bastian to shake his hand.
"Thank you for today. I'm sorry that my daughter has made such a big mess of your party".
Mr. Bastian welcomes the hand of Angga's father while apologizing to him.
"No papa. This is something totally unexpected"
"Then excuse me, come Mah, Diana".
"We go first. Bye now".
Ms. Dona said goodbye to the Angga family first, as well as to Diana.
"Yes, see you".
Diana and her parents left and left the hotel.
"We should go home too. Come Angga".
Angga immediately followed both his parents and also his sister from behind. Occasionally he was seen wryly looking for Aleena as he started walking out of the hotel.
Jeder!
"Great rain. Even the lightning was very loud. Where did Aleena go? He was afraid to hear the sound of lightning. No. gabe. I can't think about it anymore. She has betrayed me and soon I will be engaged to Diana".
Inner Angga was unceasingly thinking about Aleena, even while he was hating her.
...****************...
In the dark corner outside the hotel. Aleena cried herself in the rain with lightning striking.
Jeder... jeder… !
"Well!".
Aleena crouched down while covering her ears after hearing the thunderous sound of lightning.
From the front Aleena was seen sparking from the footsteps of someone who immediately stopped right in front of Aleena.
"You look afraid of lightning, but you're silent under the rain like that".
Aleena raised her head to look at the figure of the man who was now standing before her. The rain water had completely soaked Aleena's body. Make up on her beautiful face had disappeared swept by rain water, but the bruise on her cheek was not covered by rain at all.
The man was tall, in a neat shirt suit and holding an umbrella in his hand. In the thick of the night and the torrential rain, her gaze looked gentle and warm to Aleena.
"Why are you here?", asked Aleena in her sobs. Next to her hand continued to wipe the rain that soaked her face.
"Well!"
Aleena shouted back and lowered her head to hear the sound of lightning. His body looks trembling. Either because of the sound of lightning or because of the cold rain.
"Until when will you stay here? Better find a shelter first".
The young man spoke as he reached out to Aleena. He ignored Aleena's puzzled question from looking at him.
Aleena silently stared at the outstretched hand of a completely unfamiliar man.
"Why did you extend a hand to me, while my own family left me?", asked Aleen who still had not grabbed the young man's hand.
"Why should I behave like your family, while I myself know what really happened to you, because I was with you at that time".
"Ah. Ya".
Aleen baru menyadari kalau dia berdiam diri ditengah guyuran hujan. Seketika dia berusaha berdiri namun kedua kakinya keram, jadi Aleen kembali berjongkok.
"Kenapa kamu jongkok lagi?
"Tinggal ganti baju saja. Lagipula sekarang pun sudah basah. Cepatlah, kakiku juga bisa pegal jika terlalu lama jongkok seperti ini".
Pemuda itu bicara dengan nada menggoda.
Aleen terdiam sesaat sebelum dia memutuskan naik ke punggung pemuda itu.
"Pegangan", kata pemuda itu sebelum dia mulai berdiri kemudian berjalan menyusuri hujan yang lebat menuju hotel.
"Sebenarnya… siapa kamu? Kenapa kamu baik padaku? Apa kita saling mengenal sebelumnya?".
Aleen asked several questions at once to dispel his curiosity.
"You can call me Dev. It's the first time we've met, but I don't know why I'm being nice to you either".
Dev answered Aleen's question gently and calmly.
"Dev, am I not so pathetic? Why should we meet now? At the first meeting, you saw my worst side. That's so embarrassing".
Aleena asked with a faint smile on her lips.
"Why should I be ashamed? What the hell are you doing? You didn't do anything, so it's not your fault".
Dev spoke softly to calm Aleena down.
"I think they should trust me like you. They have known me for a long time, but no one wants to hear my explanation. Why are they like that to me?".
Aleena continued to speak out her heart. Tiredness slowly makes him sleepy. Aleena's eyes are starting to look cute.
"We've arrived".
Dev turned his head and saw Aleena asleep while leaning on his back.
"Please get her umbrella. Don't let him wake up".
Dev asks the hotel maid for help and speaks in a quiet voice. He continued his footsteps back to the hotel room.
Dev laid Aleen down slowly as they arrived at the hotel room. He looked at the sleeping Aleen with a look of pity. His gaze locked onto Aleen's red cheek from the father's slap. Dev intended to take a small towel and cold water to compress Aleen's cheeks, but if he did, it was certain that Aleen would wake up. So Dev undoes his intentions.
"What am I gonna do with you in the future?"
