Becoming a Witch in Another World

Becoming a Witch in Another World
Interlude II: The Forest of the Spirit

People paused for a moment as the black-haired girl walked past them, this was the Amendment capital guild of one of the largest guilds in the country.

Although the government has sent troops to protect security in their respective regions, the guild still has an important role in that, most problems are too many to handle on their own and people rely more on adventurers who move faster.

A receptionist greeted the girl as she introduced herself.

"My name is Ayumi, I need a job."

"You want to join this guild, please fill out the form."

Ayumi follows what the receptionist asks.

"This is my first time coming to the Guild can you explain what I need to know in this place?"

Receptionist explained.

"Each adventurer is divided into several ranks according to the mission he takes, if someone takes a lot of quests then he will immediately rise in rank, his own rank from F to S."

"So then, if I may know who is S rank here?"

Before the receptionist answered him a muscular man with a great sword first preceded him.

"That's me, my name is Degolas. I'm the strongest adventurer here, I like pretty girls like you how about you join my party?"

Ayumi glanced at the back of the man and found several women tied in chains on the part of his neck, following the gaze Ayumi Degolas said.

"They are my slaves, you can be one like them."

Everyone who watched could only lower their head.

"He started again, I feel sorry for the woman who just joined this place."

In contrast to everyone's gloomy expression, Ayumi turned to look at the receptionist.

"If I defeat this guy, will I rise to S rank?"

"Ah."

"Heh, you dare to challenge me. I am..."

Before Degolas could finish his words, a tip of the sword pierced his one eye into the bone of his skull, with just one strike he collapsed making it all freeze in fear.

"I don't like people like this."

Ayumi swung her sword and in an instant the chain necklace that bound the women was instantly slashed neatly.

"Thank you."

"You can work the way you want now, sorry about the commotion."

"No problem, let me clear things up" Receptionis said giving an adventure card with Ayumi's face on it.

At a time when everyone was still in shock Ayumi walked up to the quest board and took the most difficult request. One of the seated adventurers immediately got up to inspect the quest board with a pale face upon Ayumi's departure.

Everyone turned their eyes to her with curious faces.

"People just took a quest to kill the dragon of destruction."

"I couldn't have expected someone like Vivia Legal to appear."

"I am too."

Ignoring the words of those people Ayumi went to the location that the paper showed in her hands, it was the region of the spirit forest that many people shunned.

According to the written quest, there was a dragon of destruction that inhabited the spirit forest and sometimes he came out from there to destroy the village as well as the nearest town in the country, many of the country's troops were sent there but unfortunately they were mercilessly finished off.

Ayumi asked the people she met along the way until she finally reached her destination with a little help from the passing caravan.

The spirit forest was originally a beautiful place with a white radiance resembling fireflies all around it, but now what could be enjoyed from the forest was only destruction, there was a white dragon sleeping at its center, he said, as she opened her eyes the figure of Ayumi was ready with both swords in her hands.

"Yo dragon, I came to kill you."

The dragon laughed.

"You just came by yourself, my name is Cardina Polna I'm strong enough to destroy a single country by myself."

"I don't care, out of everyone only one person I want to defeat to snatch the title of swordsman from him."
