Back To the Beginning
Go to the Kingdom of Breithorn

We were struck with concern.

Two opposing pieces of information were at war in my mind.

It's been a day since Grandma and Milin told me about Breithorn kingdom, as well as Noland.

It is very difficult to delve deeper into the truth between the two pieces of information because the entire population is so unafraid to speak to us about the kingdom to foreigners.

Maybe I realized too late... The townspeople here are very careful with foreigners. They won't open their mouths easily.

Noland must have taken great pains to get that information from the residents here.

"So, what are we gonna do about Arthur? Are we still trying to register with the kingdom?" noland asked as we were in the basement.

"Yes, I'll keep going. We will not know the truth of this information if we do not see it directly. Noland, what do you think? Are you going?" ask me to ask her opinion not to look selfish.

Fear is like the main character.

"Sure I'll come with you, Arthur! Since I've come this far, where might I run away."

That was our conversation last night. Already determined!

Right now, during the scorching afternoon, Noland and I walked down the downtown streets to head to the kingdom.

Breithorn City, although it is said to be smaller than other cities, but I feel that the statement is like a statement of humbling a student who passes the top university.

A more modern city than any I've known. Many bridges are visible from afar connecting two areas separated by waters. The surrounding buildings are also almost entirely terraced, and feature luxury and grandeur. There were no merchants trading by the roadside unless they already had a special place to trade, it was like a mall, the city of Monte Rosa was seen left in my eyes now. People have also walked on the right and left side of how it works like a sidewalk, leaving a roomy section in the middle for horse carriages and large-engined vehicles to pass. The hikers around me seem to be mostly tourists from outside like me and Noland.

The quintessential-looking city of Monte Rosa is like an ancient Greek-era city, with the thriving city of Breithorn, really two different places.

Is this not really the best city?

The world is moving faster than I imagined.

"How far, Noland?" ask me to Noland beside me who led me from earlier.

"Not far away, stay straight ahead, at that intersection" Noland said, pointing far ahead.

"Okay, let's go there!"

I continued walking down the street with other pedestrians.

We continued walking straight and finally arrived at the intersection of three roads, the intersection of the letter T.

I looked and watched closely towards the front.

"So, is that his palace?"

"Yes, Arthur. That's his palace."

In front of us there is a vast expanse of grass in the middle there is a fairly wide entrance and exit which is decorated by rows of colorful ornamental flowers. It reminds me of the garden. The fresh green grass plains stretched wide, the grasses looked very guarded, I hesitated to step on them. The entrance and exit roads are seen made by quality rocks. I faintly heard the sound of chirping and other natural sounds from inside. In front of him was again a guard gate, and far in front of him was again the shadow of a tall and large royal building.

The intersection of T in front of us looked like a barrier between two different worlds.

"This is a recreation?" I asked Noland not to believe that in front of us is the place of the royal palace.

"Sometimes, this place is allowed for public use, and sometimes not. But when I came here yesterday, there were some children playing cheerfully. Maybe because yesterday there was a registration event, this place was opened to the public. So we are special guests now!"

Ah yes, I can see many guard soldiers passing by to patrol guard.

I can imagine Noland's expression when he first came here.

Oh, he's trying to impress me, isn't he?

"Oh... Wow," I said in exaggerated admiration.

"Doubtful."

"Ugh, but yeah... It's beyond my expectations."

The world in front of us reminded me of the atmosphere as a minor from the Alps region. Bringing a nostalgic feel.

How are tourists around us? It was clear they were swarming around us to see this different world, over time the conditions here were crammed even more.

"Let's continue, Arthur," asked Noland.

"Yes, great idea."

Seeing the increasingly crowded conditions, Noland and I decided to continue the journey.

Looking at us who were walking forward, in contrast to all those who were looking at silence, people started to get crowded and rowdy, he said, as a result our existence was realized by a well-dressed and heavily armed guard soldier who was indeed guarding around, he dismissed us.

Noland gave the soldier in front of him that one scroll that might contain about our permission. I don't know the contents of the scroll, because I didn't ask for it.

It was not wrong to entrust this matter with Noland.

The soldier read over and over again so that there would be no mistake. The guard is tight.

It was necessary to wait for a while until the soldier gave his next order.

"So, special participants yes. Please keep walking and hand over this letter again to the guard at the guard post inside" the soldier said, handing the scroll back to Noland.

As a result we continued our journey with many curious gazes of the people on our back.

Walking down the streets of the kingdom, was very different from walking in the city. Walking without a crowd has its own value.

A few minutes after walking down the four-horse carriage-sized royal road while looking right and left to recall this situation, we arrived before the entrance gate of the kingdom. Like its function to defend the kingdom, this entrance gate is arranged by high and sturdy brick, similar to the entrance gate of the city.

It didn't take long to find a guard post that was at the direction of the previous soldier, Noland gave the scroll back to the soldier inside. As usual, he read it over and over again. Several times the soldier went deeper to check the correctness of the paper scroll in his hand by looking at the schedule documents until his doubts had been completely gone.

Finally, although it took longer than the previous soldiers, our existence was declared official.

Next, we were led into a guard post and directed to a door of the room. The guard soldier struck gracefully and told him the reason for his current existence.

The voice of the adult male baritone was heard muttering from within, allowing us to enter his room, his territory.

Upon hearing the instructions, the soldier who had knocked on the door clasped the doorknob and opened it for us.

Like deja vu, Noland stepped in first with me following him from behind. One blink of an eye, I saw a young man wearing a royal military uniform sitting gallantly at his desk. His uniform was filled with gold-colored accessories with some award marks on display there.

Unable to arrive in the middle of the room, the person in front of us stood up and said welcome with his chauffeur.

"Welcome back here, I've been waiting for you to come here" said the person to be friendly.

Stopping in the middle, Noland replied to a friendly greeting from that person.

"Thank you for the welcome, I'm Noland Filibert, and my colleague Arthur Gunther, came in accordance with the previous agreement" Noland said, bowing slightly.

Following Noland's attitude I bowed as well.

"Thank you for your attendance, I'm the chairman of the registration committee to accept your presence."
