Story By: Sun & Kevin E.S.P
That morning Linda did not wake up in her house. He and hundreds of other residents of the island of Kecubung occupy refugee tents. Some people started getting sick from the cold and heavy rain last night. Members of the National Disaster Management Agency are handing out basic food aid and clean clothes. TNI soldiers are also crowded to fill the place, but they are more focused on watching the giant object that is currently standing rigidly like a mountain above Kecubung— Island, the former home of Linda and hundreds of others.
“Sial... I did not expect that******** it would dare to come to my place like this... “ The beautiful and tomboyish-looking girl is now observing both her palms. “If this is the case, it means that I also have to leave my old life... “
It all started yesterday afternoon. The calm sky was suddenly crossed by a line of bright light. At first everyone thought it was an ordinary shooting star. However, the longer it seemed clear the object was moving towards their island. Village devices immediately called for residents to take shelter in their homes.
Then the shooting star hit the island with a tremendous bang. The whole land is shaking. Soil, sand, and rocks fly. The shock waves hit the houses of the residents to the point of collapse. It was as if in the blink of an eye the apocalypse was happening. That night was a chaotic night.
It was not until the next morning that the ship from the opposite island came to evacuate the survivors. But they had to wait until help from the main island arrived, because their residence was far away on the border of the country facing the Indian Ocean.
Grief covers the hearts of all people, especially those who have lost their families and loved ones.
That's what Linda feels. However, his anger far surpassed that of grief. The girl walked alone to the edge of the island, then noticed the giant object that destroyed her home. Its form is towering with parts such as the head, hands, wings, and legs. His face was terrifying, his gaze threatening, even though their distance was adrift by the ocean. Reminds Linda of the statue of Garuda Wisnu Kencana on the island of Bali, but this one is much more powerful.
Many have speculated. Some say that it is just a meteor rock that happens to resemble a living thing. There are also those who say that it is an alien who is hibernating—though at this time it is just silent, one day it will move. The wildest, that it was an angel who was about to blow the trumpet of the apocalypse.
Whatever it was, I don't know why Linda knew about the statue. He knows his name. Dorogon Deus. And he had to go there to destroy it. It does not make sense, how to destroy something that big? It must have needed something with a powerful explosive force like a nuclear bomb.
But Linda felt her body was very strong. Blood smoldering. His fist was so hard, that he was sure he could crush the stone with the fist. The red light shines from there.
“Yes, my job here is done.” Linda whispered to her little heart. “Miracle is always seen as something that looks pure and blameless, but that doesn't mean it's a good thing. Because everyone knows that darkness can always emerge from even the brightest light.”.
“Hey, what are you doing there?!”
Linda spontaneously dimmed the light in her hand, then turned around. A group of TNI soldiers walked towards him.
“Here is dangerous,” said one of them. “Sana back to tent. There is a dinner division.”
“Eh.. okay.” Linda kalem said. But, for some reason when he turned to Deus Dorogon, Linda suddenly felt very upset and boiling. The girl bit her lips as if trying to hold back her emotions. “Kunyuk... ! Just wait for you son of a bitch! I'll crush your kidneys!” The screech is as slow as possible.
Linda's back at the refugee camp. When he got there, his mother and sister called. The girl joins them and tries to hide the strangeness that arises in her.
The next day, before dawn, Linda was ready to leave. He moved slowly so as not to wake anyone in the tent, then tiptoed out.
Arriving at the beach, suddenly there is a voice that intercepts Linda.
A dozen rifles were aimed at him by the TNI line of soldiers. Linda was able to recognize those faces, which were the members who caught her yesterday.
“Where are you going?” hardik their leader.
“Ya to dong island, sir,” replied Linda exasperated.
“Already expected, this girl has something to do with that giant statue!” exclaim the TNI.
Linda immediately denied with an incredulous look. His eyes widened. “Wait! Oye! I'm going there to destroy that monster!”
“Monster? Whatdoes thatmean? Are you a monster too?!”
“Crazy-humans... “ Linda was desperate. He felt that talking was useless. He hit his foot, then sped up at high speed.
A soldier pointed his rifle, then opened fire. The girl who was worried the gunfire hit the residents immediately stopped. His hands lit up red, then caught every bullet spewed towards him. Not only that, he touched the bullets until they turned towards the soldiers. An act impossible for ordinary people.
One by one TNI soldiers fell because their thighs were shot.
Their leader who realized that the gun was malfunctioning immediately pulled out a dagger, then lunged. He dropped the weapon. However, Linda caught the blade using only her bare hands. Then the girl squeezed it to shatter like glass.
“Soaring!”
Linda stepped on the soldier's stomach, and the big man was blown many meters back.
“One thing you need to know, I am on the human side!” shouts echo. Now the residents who had fallen asleep had also woke up due to the commotion. “I will attack Deus Dorogon. Just pray I succeed. Because if not.. well, I don't know either.”
Then he stepped. Every inch of soil that he inched like melted. The beam in his hand lit up even brighter, emitting a heat that made the TNI soldiers not dare to approach. The girl's gaze was so steady and sharp, that anyone who was stared at felt her eyeballs melting. His eyes also glowed red.
He kept moving away from the island, then into the water. And miraculously, he walked on its surface. While the thick steam billowed disguised his body. It's like the ocean is boiling.
The monster that had been silent had started to move. There was a loud crackling sound only when he twisted the body. The creature looked at Linda.
“I'm coming, goddamn miracle... Dorogon Deus. Your death ********..” Whisper Linda while putting on a wry smile. The veins in his temple arise. He's really pissed off right now.
