18. Release of Throne II
Two days later Lucia and Jean and her uncle headed to her home in Kotaraja. The day after the four nobles who were present yesterday, returned to kotaraja. They're ready to meet Uncle Lucia. The current replacement king. To announce his decision to abdicate the throne.
Many nobles who heard of Lucia coming to the city soon came to his residence. Until Lucia starts quailing.
And in the afternoon, when Lucia finished meeting a Dux after lunch, she managed to escape from the other nobles after that. By hiding in the back yard of his residence.
Lucia sat on a bench that seemed to be hidden behind a shady tree right next to the yard gate. It was a place he used to hide from his servants and attendants when he was not looking to meet them all. Three years later he left his home.
Lucia is reminiscing about this place. Then a voice sounded from the end of the yard.
"Always hiding in the same place is not a good idea if the goal is not to be easily found by others" a Narva knight no older than Lucia appeared from behind the fence. His clothes were shiny silver with a bright blue line across his chest which was similarly shiny.
"During time I didn't see Caspian. Uh, I mean the Chief Knight of Caspian Nobles" said Lucia who looked a little surprised to find the young knight named Caspian.
"How are you Lucia?" Caspian asked not using polite language. Her hair fell down covering her eyes as she looked down at Lucia.
"It's always better every time we meet" Lucia replied cheerfully.
"I'm glad you're getting more excited" Caspian replied as he sat next to Lucia.
This young knight named Caspian is the only little friend Lucia has. He was the son of an influential noble in the palace. And only he was brave and always spoke without using polite language to Lucia.
"So how you doing, Cas?"
"Right full of hope. Are you ready to take over the throne? Are these the last moments I can call you by your name or by your name?"
Lucia smiled faintly, then looked at Caspian seriously and then said, "I'm here to abdicate the throne"
"Eh? What's?! Wh why? Did something happen?" Caspian's reaction was expected by Lucia.
"Nothing happened. I just want to start a new thing by making an independent city in the land of Pharos" Lucia replied with no burden later.
"Are you crazy, Luc?!"
"What is true? After being lost for 3 years, you suddenly appear by giving up the throne and want to build a city on dead land?"
"The story is long Cas" said Lucia who then began to tell everything to the young knight.

"Well, that's Luc's crazy story. I don't think I'll ever hear a story about your strange behavior after you've been missing for the past three years" said Caspian, who still tries hard to believe Lucia's story.
"I knew. I'll introduce you to my friends later. Surely after you get to know her, the thing I told you about just now won't sound crazy anymore" Lucia replied.
"And who are they? What's the background? Where did you meet them? Are they nobles?" Caspian asked then consecutively with curiosity and looked worried.
"Why are you so old-fashioned, Cas?" Lucia makes a stale face.
"So you're too naive, like to do things without thinking back first" said Caspian quickly who immediately made Lucia silent blush. Lucia was aware that she was indeed such a person, so it was appropriate that Caspian worried about her.
"Oh yes Cas, do you have the acquaintance of a merchant who can help me to assess the raw materials to build a wall or a stone road?" Lucia asked him a question.
"Are you really asking like that?"
"True, I need an estimate of its value for the preparation of the funds I have to collect"
It seemed Caspian was breathing out softly, "I think I have an acquaintance who knows about it"
"Can you introduce him to me?"
"It could be but now he's in a dock town on the west coast, in the town of Zeraza"
"Well, if all the business in Kotaraja is done will you introduce me to him?"
"You're this, really serious huh?" Caspian asked reassured himself once more. That only Lucia answered with a quick nod.
