The Goddess Of War

The Goddess Of War
Chapter 81 - The Meeting of Returns (3)

There was a student who immediately sat down with Anna and Ren after the two of them ordered a snack and took one of the seats.

“Hai. You still remember me?” lucy Logan asked as she looked at Anna with beaming eyes.

“Sure, Lucy.” Anna also looked at Lucy with pleasure.

Lucy is shocked to hear Anna not only remembers her, but also mentions her name.

“How do you know my name? I don't remember ever getting to know you.” Ask Lucy curious.

“I read in your name tag on exam.”

“Ah, so...” sahut Lucy shy. He then turned to Ren, then smiled at him. “Hallo, Ren.”

Now it's Ren's turn to be shocked when the best student in class B knows him. Ren and Lucy happen to be in the same class. Perhaps, the only student who did not stare at Ren with a look of disdain in his class was Lucy.

They never chat in person, but Lucy also never underestimated him.

From Ren's assessment, Lucy is a very serious student in all the training she participates in, despite sometimes talking to a little ‘kasar’ to their classmates, who are, when they see there is something wrong they do, even though it has been taught repeatedly.

“Nona Logan.” says Ren slowly, nodding his head.

“Call me by my first name. Lucy.” Said Lucy who then turned to Anna again. “I've wanted to say hello since, but..”.

Anna smiled. “Yes, adolescence is indeed rather complicated.”

Lucy would not laugh to hear it.

“My brothers once said, ‘Don't do anything too silly when you're a teenager. You'll be embarrassed later when you remember it'."

“It looks like they did a lot of silliness in adolescence and don't want you to repeat it,” Anna commented. “I'll remember it. Say thank you to your sister.” Added.

“They are dead inside Dungeon.” Lucy said casually, although she finally smiled bitterly.

“Ah.., I'm sorry. I'm so sorry.” Anna suddenly regretted what she had just said.

Sensing the awkward atmosphere that suddenly occurred due to her words, Lucy immediately switched the conversation, “I've been waiting for you all this time. Where have you been?”

Anna looked at Lucy for a moment before giving her answer. He now understood why this girl looked too serious when facing the entrance examination first.

'Maybe because he didn't want the bad things that befell his brothers to repeat to others.'

Even so, Anna judged that Lucy also seemed to want to trust her partner at the same time.

‘Maybe there are other causes as well?’

Anna leaned her body on the back of the chair, then spoke, “I have a bit of business, so take a leave at the beginning.”

Lucy nodded slightly, then spoke back. “It's a shame we're not in the same class.”

Anna laughs.

"What are you laughing at? Anyone would be comfortable being on a team with you." Lucy said earnestly. He recalled how powerful and good Anna's martial technique was.

Lucy then pointed at Ren who reflexively nodded his head upon hearing what Lucy had just said.

"See. You agree, right, Ren?"

Ren was shocked again when Lucy suddenly mentioned his name and pointed at him.

"Yes? Oh... Yep. Sure." Sure."

Anna's skill that Ren saw, was even more amazing than Lucy felt when one teamed up with the girl.

Anna even killed real monsters in C-ranked Dungeons with ease. Moreover, it was only a virtual monster like in the student admission exam.

Ren suddenly recalled the trials he had undergone himself and was very troubled to avoid the virtual monsters hunting him, when they were only monsters from E-ranked Dungeons whose abilities had been lowered by as much as 75% from the original.

At that time he felt proud and lucky to be able to escape. However when considering Anna could even kill a genuine monster in a C rank Dungeon, she felt that her over-proud self was ridiculous.

Seeing Anna not responding, Lucy thought for a moment before finally asking, "Don't you say, you didn't know that a classmate would be a colleague on the same team until we graduated from the Academy?"

Lucy remembers how little Anna knew when they took the exam first.

'He is talented, but he seems to be lazy to read.'

Anna laughed again, shaking her head.

"I haven't been able to find any information about the exam back then. I planned it in the evening and went to register in the morning."

"What?!"

Knowing that was even more surprising than thinking Anna was a lazy person looking for information.

"You.., next time be careful. There are your comrades who will be doomed if you're too late." Lucy said as she looked at Anna intently. However, when he realized that his words were exaggerated, he regretted it. "Oh... I'm sorry," said Lucy slowly.

"It's okay. Thanks for reminding." Anna softly. He looked at Lucy and felt sympathetic towards her.

'Certainly because of his brothers.'

"If only I could move to Class A." Lucy's speech broke the silent atmosphere for a moment.

"You can move to C class if you want." Sahut Anna's. However, he was just joking.

Lucy squinted her eyes. "You've really learned a useless thing."

There are written rules in the Academy. A student may move to a lower class at his or her own request within 1 month of the student's admission. However they could not ask for a move to a higher grade.

The Academy will also not provide recommendations at a later date to move students in lower grades to higher grades even if the student shows his talent and hard work.

It is intended to balance the team in each class.

“You want a team with me?” ask Anna to Lucy.

Lucy nodded quickly, “Ya. I want to learn a lot from you.” Lucy then looked at Anna in full search, then asked, "You want to move to my class?"

Considering Anna was in A class, she could have asked to be transferred to B class.

Anna sighed slowly, while continuing to look into Lucy's eyes she said, “I'll teach you.”

Anna looked at him with a smile. “I should have asked that.”

Lucy nodded quickly once more. “I'm serious, your martial arts are great!”

Anna laughed again. The compliment was very comforting to him.

“But...” Lucy turns to Ren and Anna in turn, “Have you guys known each other for a long time?”

Lucy's gaze stopped on Ren. Seeing the girl seem to be waiting for an answer from him, Ren glanced at Anna who was sitting opposite him.

“We've only met three times, I'm actually friends with her brother.” Anna, when she saw Ren, seemed reluctant to answer Lucy's question.

Lucy was surprised to hear that.

“But, you guys look very familiar.”

“Do we not look familiar?”

“Ya?”

Lucy knitted her brows hearing that. Lucy then recalled that she and Anna had also met 2 times and Anna seemed very open to talking to her like an old acquaintance.

He then laughed awkwardly.

“Ah... You are indeed easy to talk to.” Lucy then turns to some students who are at another table who she knows are talking about Anna on unfavourable charges. “They will regret for misjudging you.”

Anna just smiled, not responding to him.

“But, you actually look hard near.” Said Lucy again.

“Hah? Do I look like that?" Anna was a little surprised to find out that for the first time.

All this time he saw Cassey as an easy person to approach, because it was very friendly to anyone. So, he tried to want to be like his half-brother. It seems to work because he has many friends in High School, although outside he is not as popular as Cassey.

“You always wear your mask, as if telling people you don't want to talk to them because you're suffering from an infectious disease.” Lucy laughed a little, then turned to Ren. “Yes right? Don't you also never see Anna's face completely?”

Ren was a bit surprised because he was suddenly involved. But he finally nodded his head.

Anna also looked at Ren.

“By the day we had a date at our second meeting.” Anna said as she looked at Ren pretending to look regretful.

“Hei..” Ren looked at Anna with his face reddened.

While Lucy nodded her head slowly while staring at the two people before her in turn. “So, your relationship is like that... Just deserve. I was expecting it.”

Anna laughed, she understood what Lucy said. It was about him and Ren who were walking hand in hand.

“Ok, I'm sorry I interrupted your time.” Said Lucy. He looked at Ren. “I salute you. You even want to date her without knowing her face.” Lucy said with a look of respect for Ren. Lucy then took a slice of baked potato in front of her. “I'm asking for one.”

“Oh, eat it. You can order anything you want, I'll pay for it.” Anna said as she pulled out the envelope from her uniform pocket, took out a card inside, and handed it to Lucy.

Lucy accepts it and is a little surprised by its value.

“Your family must be rich.” Said Lucy. But he said it while looking at Ren. "You're really a dream man" he added.

Lucy knew it was the envelope Ren had handed Anna. He also saw it from a distance.

Ren understood immediately. Waving both of his hands in front of his body, he instantly denied the estimate. “No... I... only return the money I borrowed.” Sahut Ren, cover the origin of the real money.

But it made Lucy look at him suspiciously.

“You..., lest you approach him to extort his money? Careful, he can beat you up!” Lucy reminded.

“Hey, you misunderstood.” Sahut Ren's.

Anna simply listened to their conversation while laughing. She was a little surprised to see Lucy was a flabby-headed person when talking and also knew that the girl did not look at friends from her background, because he didn't even know Ren was from the outskirts and thought he was the son of a wealthy man.

Anna then removed the mask, then took the glass in front of her and drank a warm chocolate that had started to cool.

Lucy and Ren don't see when Anna opens the mask. But both of them were silent when they saw Anna's face that was clearly plastered when not wearing a mask.

Lucy blinked her eyes as if in disbelief at the sight before her.

‘It's really real. There's a goddess of heaven in front of me.’

Anna almost laughed when she saw Lucy looking at her with a gaping mouth. He had been used to getting such gazes long ago. Although he was not in his own body, but he knew his face and the face of the owner of his body right now exactly the same.

The advantages of his body at this time are some parts of his body look more mature. In addition, her hair was really very smooth and shiny, as was her lighter skin.

This body of hers seemed to be really very well groomed before.

“What's up? Order your food and drinks.” Anna said to Lucy, who was silently staring at her with a look of amazement.

“Ah, y-yeah..," said Lucy stuttering. He finally stood up and went to the bar to order his drink.

On her way to the bar, Lucy notices the students at another table glued to Anna.

‘Well, all of you are silent now.’

°°°

“Don't daydream, eat. You lost some of your food, didn't you?” anna said, breaking Ren's daydream that was glued to her face without shame.

Actually, it's not just Ren. Everyone in the cafe was stunned when they saw Anna's face.

They all accidentally stop each other's activities to see Anna's beauty that resembles a goddess of paradise that they can only imagine and have never seen before.

As Anna surprised her, Ren instantly turned his gaze and took out a baked potato and ate it straight away.

After that, Ren no longer dared to look at Anna, until they came out of the cafe and parted in the corridor.

Ren and Lucy go to the classroom to prepare for the afternoon lesson, while Anna, heading for the Academy's headroom.

While they were still at the cafe, Anna got a call from her homeroom teacher, to go to the head of the Academy during the afternoon lesson.
