EOTL eps 22: Antagonist

Aaron Dawn was placed in a special care room. His condition is quite alarming due to exposure to toxic gas makes him have to get medical treatment immediately.

A few hours earlier, his body lying face down on the floor of a hunting lodge in the middle of a pine forest, was discovered by a combing force sent by Xavier. Aaron was immediately taken to this hospital because Xavier had given a firm order that the man should be dragged before Xavier in a lifeless condition.

His men say that Aaron is conscious right now. Of course the condition is much better than Sera's condition, because the man had drunk the antidote first compared to Sera.

Xavier grits his teeth to control the searing rage in his heart as his steps get closer towards Aaron's treatment room.

No. gabe. He will not allow emotions to overwhelm the heart and weaken it. This is like a fight for a weak heart and do not know where to stand. And Xavier will make sure that it is he who will be the place to go, without the heart it can have other options.

When his steps stopped right next to Aaron's treatment room, Xavier gestured to let one of his men drive him away. Afterwards, he let the bodyguards on duty in front of the treatment room open the door for him.

Xavier stepped in, and let his men close the door behind him.

Hearing the movement from the door, Aaron turned his head to find out. He had previously managed to escape deep into the forest. However, the condition of his body contaminated with poison increasingly worsened, coupled with the bone-chilling cold from the thick snow that enveloped the entire surface as far as the eye could see. Luckily he finally found a hunting lodge whose wooden walls were warm enough to withstand a gust of wind that blew a sword-sharp freeze onto the surface of his skin. Unfortunately, the condition of his body was too weak at that time until he immediately fell down, losing strength after successfully entering the unlocked hunting lodge for shelter.

When he woke up, Aaron was already in this hospital. Although he had gained his consciousness completely, but his entire body was in pain and lost the strength to lift his arm only Aaron was unable to. He was injected by drugs somehow and intravenous fluids were also introduced into his body. The side of his hand that was not infused was handcuffed to the iron bed, as well as the side of his foot.

He received good professional medical treatment, but his body was treated like a tied prisoner.

Thinking of it all made Aaron instantly aware that he had failed to escape. His body had fallen into the vile and terrifying hands of Xavier Light. I don't know what kind of horrible cruelty Xavier would commit to his body right now, considering that the man tied himself up in this hospital bed.

Now, as Aaron's eyes were rubbing against the newly-entered Xavier Light, an unbearable tremble instantly penetrated every cell of his body, making his blood flow tighten and his heart instantly hit the rough of his chest cavity, causing his blood to tighten, as if he were going to escape.

“You look scared.” Xavier grinned at Aaron's facial expression. “Are you afraid of death? That's why you took the antidote capsule and ran away? Didn't you know that it's an antidote capsule ration for Sera?”

Xavier's sentence made Aaron surprised, his pale face turning as white as paper. He tried to move the body, but his body was powerless. Finally all he could do was turn his head towards Xavier and dare himself to ask questions.

“S-Sera... How is he? I-I didn't know it was the capsule that Sera had…. How... how is the condition? Is he still alive? Is he dead?” along with his mouth that could not stop spouting questions, fear excites Aarron when imagining the worst possibility.

Xavier raised an eyebrow, staring mercilessly at Aaron.

"Why? Are you afraid that if Sera dies, then I have no reason to keep you alive?" Xavier reviewed the sweet smile, but somehow it felt terrible, like the kind of smile from the angel of death that opened the door of hell, whispering that there would be no fire down there.

"Not so.." Aaron knew that sending Sera to Xavier Light had a considerable risk of death, especially if Sera failed. However, it is not at all suspected that Sera will meet with a death that quickly. The fear grips Aaron while whispering terrible shadows, but then his reasoning mind begins to work.

What Xavier said was true... If Sera was dead, what would the man let her get medical attention for? That means Xavier's working on his life, isn't it? Then....

"Sera is alive." Aaron concluded quickly, unconsciously voicing what was in his mind in a loud voice.

Xavier thinned his lips. "Yes. Sera is alive. That's the only reason you're still breathing, even though it doesn't feel right to have that luxury."

Aaron widens his eyes. "What...what do you mean?" tanyanya nervous.

Xavier grinned. His sharp gaze pierced straight at Aaron, as if the man could read what was hidden behind Aaron's mind.

"Don't you want to brag about how successfully you manipulated Sera? Right now I am convinced that your position is very important in Sera's heart, which is why she was determined to sacrifice her own life to save yours." Xavier said slowly, his eyes scanning Aaron, as if to judge his reaction.

Aaron gulped. Damn it he can't move his body. Had he been able to move and escape the shackles on his hands and feet, it was certain that Aaron would have escaped Xavier's bullying which felt very suffocating at the moment.

"I-I don't understand what you mean." Aaron's still trying to protect himself, acting clueless.

Xavier's laughter filled the room, filled with mocking laughter.

"There's no need to put an innocent face in front of me, Aaron Dawn. I already know everything about you."

"I-I really don't understand." Aaron was still trying to dodge while the cold sweat pouring down his temple seemed to betray everything, shouting the truth.

"Anastasia was pregnant when she died and the child she was carrying was your child. You two believe that's because it's only with you that Anastasia doesn't use protective cover to prevent pregnancy." Xavier casts the shocking truth he just discovered. "You two are so disgusting. Although your kinship is distant, he is still your cousin. I really didn't think that you were mentally like an animal, sleeping with your own family especially when you were even younger than Anastasia. Even so, for now of course I won't discuss the breakdown of your morality since you were young, it's not something that matters to me."

Xavier couldn't hide the disgust in his voice as he stepped closer to the bed and stripped Aaron of his false mask all along.

"Roman and Anastasia Dawn knew it, but of course they couldn't marry you to Anastasia. That's why they pushed for Anastasia to ensnare Akram to be married immediately." Xavier grinned. "Unfortunately, the incident of Anastasia's abduction that led to her suicide undermined all plans. Roman Dawn not only lost her only daughter, but also lost their dream of becoming a part of the Night family by tucking in their illegitimate granddaughter as a binder for Akram Night."

Xavier observed Aaron Dawan's terrified expression before resuming his sentence. "Therefore, the grudge of Roman Dawn multiplied upon me. Roman finally decides to recruit you knowing that you can be a useful ally and will also be loyal to him, given your bond with Anastasia before the cheap woman dies." Xavier narrowed his eyes, looking at Aaron probing. "So, what's your job actually regarding Sera? Were you playing the evil police and the good police method to mentally manipulate Sera? Roman and Samantha Dawn play the real bad cop, while you play the good cop? Be kind and be a helper to win Sera's trust?"

Xavier's question really doesn't need to get an answer, because it's the truth. Since the beginning of Roman Dawn recruited him, making him the adopted son and sole heir, Aaron has indeed got his own duties. Xavier's guess was right, Aaron had to take full confidence in Sera. So that, when the woman is worried and tempted to switch sides, Aaron who is always there and help her will be a strong bond that encourages Sera to always choose to side with the Dawn Family.

"If you look at how Sera willingly gave her antidote capsule to you and sacrificed herself, then it looks like you have managed to manipulate Sera's mind, making her think that you are the best angel to be the savior of her life." Xavier continued his sentence, looking at Aaron with a pondering look, as if he was thinking whether to kill Aaron or not.

Aaron became panicked, in vain he tried to move the body to show his sincerity.

"M-maybe I was assigned that way by Roman Dawn, but I. I helped and helped Sera sincerely. I...."

"Stop your bullshit. You think I'm gonna trust your thin mouth? You were a coward from the beginning, you dared not take responsibility for the baby conceived by Anastasia and cowardly supported Roman Dawn's actions to feed Anastasia to Akram by using the baby. You also acted cowardly and chose to support Roman Dawn even though you knew that all the torture he had done to Sera was wrong. I even thought that maybe you held a grudge against me for causing Anastasia and the child in her womb to be killed." Xavier slightly bowed towards Aaron. "Now you are pretending to be kind-hearted and as if helping Sera sincerely in front of me. Though, I know, you're back in your hypocritical mask to save yourself. Cowards and traitors, a complete package that makes me want to inject you with the most vicious poison and the most painful effect of all the poison I've ever made."

"Ti...no! Don't do that...!" Aaron was really scared. The shadow of death that took away his soul might still be able to deal with by bracing himself, but the shadow of Xavier's death with the monstrous poison he made, really made Aaron cringe.

If he really had to die, he wanted to die quickly, he would not die in the process of terrible pain that tortured his soul and body before his life was completely uprooted.

Xavier straightened his back and connected, "For if I do that and give all the evidence to Sera, then you will have no meaning in my woman's eyes. If you have no meaning in my woman's eyes, then I don't have enough hostages to make Serafina Moon submit to me. Do you understand?"

Unexpectedly, Xavier ended his explanation with a question sentence that left Aaron aghast and clueless as to what to do but nod his head quickly.

Xavier laughed mockingly at Aaron's attitude. The man crossed paths, speaking slowly so that Aaron listened to the sentence he said clearly.

"If Serafina Moon's father is in good shape, then I will use him as the perfect hostage to make Sera obedient to me and I don't need you. Unfortunately, the last doctor I haven't shown Sera, said Salvatore Moon had terminal cancer and she's not going to be around much longer." Xavier grinned, staring at Aaron with an evil look. "That's where you play, Aaron Dawn. If Salvatore Moon dies, then you as a backup hostage will take his place to make Sera submit to me. For now, I will play the antagonist in Sera's life story and cover your cover. However, you will live under my captive for the rest of your life, shackled by your hands and feet and will never be free again unless your life is uprooted. Because, if later I have succeeded in subduing Sera's heart, I will gladly open all your falsehoods and kill you as a gift for Sera."

Xavier pulled out his chair and took a seat beside the bed where Sera was still lying closed.

The doctor said Sera's condition had fully recovered, and the dose of painkillers that made Sera fall asleep was also no longer given on the injection schedule to the last infusion earlier.

It meant that Sera could wake up at any time, and Xavier would not let go of the opportunity to give her a welcome back to the woman the first time Sera opened her eyes.

That's why he's here, sitting and waiting for some time to pass.

The angel of redemption will be his. Well, it's a mistake Sera made to get into her life and attract Xavier's attention. The woman was like a laron entangled in the beautiful fire of a lantern and Xavier would make sure it became the fire of a lantern that would ruthlessly burn the fragile wings of the laron, so that in doing so, laron will be trapped and can't go anywhere.

The dark-colored thick eyelashes seemed to slowly gnaw, twitching along with the consciousness of the mind of the owner who had recovered. Seeing that, Xavier straightened his back and waited in anticipation until those beautiful eyes opened.

What Xavier wants is accomplished. Slowly, the eyes opened, flickering slowly to adjust to the light of the room lamp that Xavier had intentionally dimmed, before it then opened completely and directly stared at the ceiling of the room with a frown.

Xavier certainly did not want to let Sera linger in confusion. Gently, he immediately greeted, breaking the silence.

"Welcome back, Serafina Moon."

His voice was spoken in a delicate and sweet tone, but of course Sera's response was like a guess, filled with shock and fear.

"A-I'm alive?" tanyanya did not believe the raucous voice that shot out from her throat.

Xavier smiled ironically and tilted his head slightly in a mocking manner.

"of course. Even if you're doing such an annoying folly, I won't let you die, Sera." replied Xavier in a cynical manner.

Sera widened, her big eyes glittering beautifully staring at Xavier in a daze.

"Why... Why don't you just kill me? Doesn't the account deserve to die? I'm just like the Dawns who hold grudges and want to kill you, aren't I?" tanyanya.

Xavier chuckles. "Why? Maybe because you look a little like me, it's just that your heart after experiencing forging and torment, is moving into the path of goodness, not into the path of darkness like myself. Because you're so different that I became interested in you and wanted to explore your whole being ." Xavier stared intently at Sera, then made a firm and steady voice. "I want to have you, Sera."

Xavier's possessive and slightly crazy tone of voice made Sera shudder in fear. He tried to move his hand and was surprised when he realized that his handcuffed to the iron of his bed.

"Why are you shackling my hand? What do you want?" sera exclaimed in a panicked tone, not caring for her throat that felt sore and dry when making a sound.

Once again, Xavier's rustic voice filled the room. The man then spoke softly, though it was completely opposite to his piercing glare.

"Do I have to tell you a hundred times? I'm holding you back because I want to make you mine. And I will bind you in the most effective way a man can give a woman."

"The most effective way? Whatchu mean?" Sera panicked at Xavier's mysterious words. He tried to move his handcuffed hand to break away, but it was certainly in vain. "Can you please let go of my hand first?" beg him with raucous and desperate then

Xavier glanced at Sera's handcuffed wrist, then decided to ignore Sera's request for help and continued.

"I'll tie you to marriage, and then I'll make your body a vessel for sowing my seed." Xavier grinned with an unenclosed scaring intent. "Serafina Moon, you will be the mother of my children." she continued, giving an absolute ultimatum to her women.
