The Sad Little Girl

Higarashi immediately panicked after seeing Keira's face that suddenly turned back into sadness.

"Good God, I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked that," Higarashi said with a puzzled face.

Keira shook her head, then smiled slightly and replied, "Hmm, those kids have long since learned that I am only the adopted son of the owner of the liquor store. I'm just a baby who was found at the door by both of them. The boys also talked about the strange color of my hair and eyeballs. However, I'm fine. Mom and Dad love me so much, so I don't really care what they've talked about me.”

However, Higarashi could feel the sadness Keira felt. He did not dare to ask any further.

“Ah, it is getting late. I'll drive you back to the liquor store, so that you don't get lost in this small town, or, do you want to go back for a walk alone around here?” keira asked with a small smile on her face as she looked at Higarashi with her two light blue eyeballs.

Higarashi then looked at Keira with a sharp look in his eyes. His heart thumped a little tautly after listening to the speech.

However, he ventured to say, "Let me accompany you back to the liquor store, and guard you from those evil children."

Keira blushed in embarrassment after hearing Higarashi's words just now. He smiled with the offer, however, not wanting to trouble someone he had just met, of course he rejected the offer subtly.

"Thank you, Higarashi. I really appreciate the offer, but, I'm fine and have gotten used to their attitude. All right, I'm going back to the liquor store right now. Both of your parents must be waiting for you to return, too" Keira replied.

Higarashi only fell silent after hearing that. Keira then walked back to the liquor store owned by her adoptive parents, and she could only follow the little girl from behind. However, in the middle of the road, a boy suddenly threw a piece of paper that he had just squeezed with both hands, towards Keira, until it hit the little girl's forehead.

“Alien basis!” yelled the boy.

Keira and Higarashi immediately stopped their steps and looked at the boy with a face that also looked annoyed.

The boy who threw the paper at Keira then shouted, "What? Why are you looking at me with your two strange colored eyeballs?! You look more like an alien from space than a human! Or maybe you're a witch?"

He laughed out loud, then began to throw some more paper that he had squeezed towards Keira, and this time, he began to throw some more, the little girl tried to protect her face by lifting the basket she was holding. Keira did not fight back, because the boy had a larger body than himself.

It seems that Higarashi is starting to get really upset with the boy. He then stood next to Keira and put up a body for her, protecting her from the paper attacks.

"Hey!! Stop that!" hygarashi exclaimed in a high tone.

The boy immediately stopped throwing paper at Keira and shouted, "Hey, fool, you better step aside before I hit you!"

"Stop bulging! Only a fool would dare to bully others!" hygarashi Reply.

“How dare you! Who are you?!” exclaimed the boy with a reddened face.

He then walked up to Higarashi and hit him quickly, however, Higarashi managed to avoid the blow. Knowing that they would definitely be attacked again, Higarashi then grabbed Keira's right hand.

“Hey, dammit! Back!” the boy shouted in a high tone, however, he did not chase after the two of them at all because apparently, Higarashi and Keira ran faster than he had expected, instead, until he could only growl at the backs of those who were getting away from him.

The two of them ran until they were finally close to the liquor store belonging to Keira's adoptive parents. But it turns out from a distance, Neriya and Klafina are still sitting on a chair that is located right in front of the beverage store, a little surprised after seeing their boys holding a little girl while running together.

“Hey, isn't that Higarashi?” whispered Neriya to his wife.

Klafina immediately squinted her eyes at a boy and girl who were running up to them, then said, “Gosh!”

Higarashi halted his steps immediately and removed his grip from the little girl's hand, after realizing that he had already arrived in front of the liquor store.

“Jeez, forgive me!” he exclaimed with a reddened face after releasing his hand grip from Keira just now, while trying to breathe regularly after running for quite a long time.

Keira who was still standing next to him then smiled slightly to, and whispered, “Thank you for bringing me here.”

Higarashi immediately turned to his parents who were still in front of the liquor store while sitting on their chairs and staring at him. Neriya and Klafina then smiled. Higarashi immediately understood the meaning of the smiles from his parents, and his face began to turn red.

“Gosh! You guys have misunderstood!” yells.

Keira suddenly turned her head towards Neriya and Klafina, then bowed for a while before them, then again stood up straight. Of course the attitude of the little girl just now made them surprised.

"Mr and Madam, introduce, I am the son of the owner of this liquor store. I accidentally met Young Master Higarashi at my parents' chrysanthemum plantation, and he protected me from the mischievous children along the way. Thank you, and I'm sorry, I can't return the favor from her. However, I will speak to both of my parents to give you three, each, a free drink, a free drink,” said Keira with a small smile on her face.

Neriya and Klafina did look rather surprised after listening to the remark, however, the empress of Halida immediately smiled widely afterwards.

"Whose name are you, son?" ask Klafina.

"Mrs. My name is Keira, greetings. Hope you like this small town" Keira replied.

Suddenly from inside the liquor store, there was a shout from Eleina who was not so loud, "Keira! Are you back yet?"

Keira immediately turned to the liquor store and answered the call from her foster mother, "I'm back, Mother!"

"Hurry inside, son!" yelled Eleina again.

The little girl then turned her head again towards Neriya and Klafina, then said, “Allow me to leave before you, however, wait here first. I'll get you three bottles of free drinks.”
