The Past - Part XVIII

Xyon seemed to already know that he would soon be scolded by his father.

Once they got there, Derix violently opened the door and brought Xyon inside with him, then after that, he let go of the young man's hand while looking at him with a serious face.

"What have you done on Planet Earth, Xyon?!" ask Derix upset.

"Of course I'm looking after His Majesty, Father," Xyon replied as he showed his flat face

"Where is the ring we gave you?" asked Derix again, this time in a high tone.

"I accidentally knocked him down while fighting against the thugs who almost hurt me just because of a bag containing silver coins" the young man replied.

Derix let out a long sigh, then said, "Xyon, stop lying to your father.”

"I'm not lying, Dad" replied the boy.

"Xyon, you're a good soldier. You've even been able to swing your own sword so well since you were four, and there's no way you'd get rid of the ring so recklessly!" derix exclaimed while holding back his emotions.

"Those thugs attacked me brutally, Dad. I accidentally removed the ring," Xyon replied firmly.

Derix is starting to give up. He let out a long sigh again, then looked at Xyon with a truly serious face.

"Xyon, I will hold an official examination to select the general who will serve under me. Several generals have asked me to retire on my own grounds, so I have to hold this test. I will put you on the list of participants, right now," said the Senior General slowly.

Suddenly Xyon's face changed, which had been flat, now became very upset. He even dared to frown deeply while looking at his father with a sharp look.

"Dad! I am the personal bodyguard of His Highness the Crown Prince! Why should I take that exam? Your Majesty can immediately raise my rank to general, whenever he wants!" exclaim Xyon with a high tone.

"You!! You've been playing around with humans on Planet Earth, haven't you?! Tell Dad, is she a girl, or is she a grown woman?!" asked Derix, also in a high tone.

"Dad! I completely removed the ring by accident!" exclaim Xyon was upset.

“I will keep quiet so that you are not punished by the Supreme Court of the Universe who may conduct Energy Revocation and Cosmic Vacuum for your actions!” reply his father while glaring sharply.

Xyon let out a long breath. He still did not answer the truth.

"It's true, you're the personal bodyguard of His Highness the Crown Prince, yet you've almost never shown the fighting skills you've mastered so far. It's good that you take the test, so that you don't get underestimated by the other generals!" derix exclaimed, then he walked out by slamming the door hard.

"Hyerin, I'm sorry. Hyerin!" he mumbled slowly, with a face full of regret.

Derix apparently stood at the door, and heard what his son had just said from the inside. His face began to show a great sense of disappointment to Xyon.

"I'm sorry your father never taught you anything about this universe and the laws of nature that exist in it, other than how to fight and be a soldier. I wish you could forget whoever that girl is, Xyon," Derix muttered in his own mind while enduring the grief.

He hurriedly walked out of the palace to meet the high-ranking official regarding the royal examination. It didn't take long, he immediately enrolled Xyon to follow him, after meeting one of the high-officials in a room, who was indeed the jury for the exam.

Meanwhile, inside his own room, Hyerin was now starting to feel lonely. He had indeed handed over the key to the room occupied by Xyon to the woman owner of the inn. However, after her husband left, she could only sit quietly on the bed.

"Xyon, can you come back right now?" hyerin muttered with a sad face, while folding and hugging both knees tightly.

Suddenly, a black mist appeared coiling beside Hyerin, which instantly made her startled and glared. After the fog had disappeared, a woman who had long black hair and golden eyeballs appeared, and wore a black channel shirt.

The woman then walked up to Hyerin, sat down before him, saying, "Hyerin, tell your mother this, what have you done with that man from Palladina?!"

"Mother," Hyerin replied, "didn't I do my job? Didn't Dad ask me to approach him? I'm done with that, so please, no need to ask anymore."

The woman was apparently Hyerin's real mother, whose name was Sira. He suddenly grabbed her two shoulders and looked at her with a sharp look.

"Hyerin! What have you done with that man?! If your father finds out about this, he will never forgive you! You don't do stupid things!" yells.

"Mother! Isn't that all Dad's will?! The father who had already done the Mentocive and brainwashed the people who were here, manipulated them, as if I was an orphan, asking me to pull Xyon's heart, he said, so he can get information about Planet Palladina, right?" reply Hyerin with an annoyed face.

"However, what you're doing isn't just pulling his heart out, Hyerin! You're seriously in love with him! I saw you from far away, son! I've seen it all!” sira said while showing disappointment.

Unintentionally, he noticed Hyerin's left hand ring finger, and immediately saw a ring made of white palladium metal, engraved a name there, XYON, very clearly. He immediately pointed towards the ring with a surprised expression.

"Hyerin! That ring! Tell me! What have you done with him?! Your father will be furious, and you could lose your life, Hyerin!" sira exclaimed again while glaring sharply.

"Mother! I loved her! He was a good man, even willing to get hurt for my sake, while the thugs you sent here, they all harassed me! You think, I will be fine after they do such a thing to me?! I don't even want to know about them!" reply Hyerin in a high tone.

"Gran!" sira exclaimed, but Hyerin immediately cut her off, "I love her! He is a responsible man, mother! We were even married before he returned to Planet Palladina!! He also gave me his ring as proof that we were already a husband and wife!"

Sira immediately stood up, then slapped her only daughter violently while crying. Hyerin was surprised by her mother's attitude just now, even to the point that her face had turned red from the slap. He immediately looked at Sira with a disappointed, angry expression, and tears that began to fall down her clothes.
