Shortly thereafter Francoise came and met me. He must be worried when I told him not to come here.
"You're doing fine. Is anyone sick. What he did to you. Damn Maureen, just wait till I make a calculation with her." She held my cheek in worry and her frightened face made me want to not smile. I should have told him not to come here. He was in the office, working.
"Why are you here? I'm fine." Yes he must be worried, worried that I could not accept this incident and ended up leaving him like his previous lover. That might be his biggest fear.
"My mom slapped you, she was too much. I'm sorry you had to get through this.
