The Angel of Heaven I Wasted

The Angel of Heaven I Wasted
Not a Mate

After performing the Dzuhur prayer Adam returned to his home. Adam's car was parked in the yard of his parents' house.

The house is so quiet. Like no one's home. But Adam had the keys to his house.

Kreak ..door opened.

"Assalamualaikum" said Adam. No one said his greetings and it was true that no one was in his house.

Adam went into his room and lay down for a moment. After laying down, Adam returned to put the things he would bring back to the city.

Half an hour later the sound of a car arrived in front of the house.

"Assalamualaik." A greeting came from the door.

"Getishalight."

Adam immediately welcomed the arrival of his parents by kissing the backs of his parents' hands.

"Have you been to Adam?" ask Abdurahman.

"About 2 hours ago Well."

"Why don't you tell me you're with mom so we can welcome you."

"Ah Adam not long. There's some stuff you have to take and bring to town."

"When do you come back to town again, Adam?"tanya Bu Siti Adam's mother.

"Tomorrow after dawn prayer."

Ms. Siti and Mr. Abdurrahman throw smiles at each other.

"Dam, you know for yourself that your age is enough to get married. Father and mother have also wanted to see you marry and have children of course."

Adam only smiled slightly in response to his mother's words.

"Dam Do you have your own future wife? Maybe fellow lecturers or from among your students?"

"There's no ma'am."

"Not yet, or you have no intention of Adam. I know you're disappointed that three times you applied for Nisa was rejected. You are pure Adam. Maybe Nisa's not a match for you."

"Yes, Mom, Adam tried to be sincere. During the prayer in the mosque Adam met with Imam and her husband Anisa. And it seems Anisa's husband is a good man."

"Alhamdulillah then."

"Oh Well Son. Yesterday at the time of study, my father spoke with Mr. Usman and Mr. Imam. We intend to match you with Najwa, Mr. Usman's son."

"Najvas? Pantes said Mr. Imam if anyone wants to be betrothed to his nephew."

"Yes Najwa. You don't mind Adam?"Ask Mr. Abdurrahman.

"Small how's Dam? Najwa just graduated from school. 18 Years old is enough to get married."

Adam was doubtful.

"Of Adam, you know that getting married is the most recommended apostle sunnah let alone being able to perform the worship" said Bu Siti.

Ms. Siti and Mr. Abdurrahman looked at Adam as if waiting for an answer from Adam immediately.

Seeing his two hopeful parents. Adam nodded his head.

"Well, bismillah" replied Adam.

"OK then, son. Ba'da ashar we'll go to Usman's house."

"What's Dad for?" adam asked a little surprised.

Well to propose to Najwa."

"It's not too fast. Usually taaruf first."

"Adam, Adam you've seen Najwa's face. We also know Najwa from his childhood until he was a teenager. We also know the extended family of Mr. Usman. And their daughter got a proposal the fastest from the young men. I don't want to see Najwa back in someone's room this time and we're late."

Adam remained silent.

"As for Adam, intend this marriage as a perfecter of worship for you. I know maybe you don't love Najwa. But if you open your heart to receive it. Insha Allah love is present after you menika," advised Mr. Abdurahman.

"Yes Well. God willing," replied Adam.

"Yes, son. Then you rest first. After the ashar prayer we will go straight to the house of Mr. Usman."

"Good Well."

Adam walked out from his parents.

He entered his room. Then he went to the shelf where he kept the books.

Adam pulled a photo album. Photos when he was a teenager. In the photo there is also Anisa, Najwa, even Zahra Najwa's sister.

Adam rubbed the face of little Nisa when she was 7 years old. And that's all he has.

There stared fixedly at the photo with a dewy look.

"It turns out, no matter how much love we have, if not the will of God we will not be in a match. I tried sincerely to let you go after all this time trying to wait for you. May you be happy living with a man who truly loves you. I believe God's destiny is the best. Maybe that guy loves you more than me. That's why he's destined for you, to take care of you" Adam said in a sad voice.

Saying the word Ikhlas may be easy, but it is not easy to practice. Deep in his little heart, Adam still hopes to one day be a match with Annisa.

Adam again closed the photo album and put it on the shelf again, then he lay on his back. Hoping that he could really take Nisa and accept Najwa as his parents' preferred mate.
