The next two days, the news of the demon army appearing in several places began to spread across the Celestial. People who know nothing can only be frightened and confused. How could there be an army of demons in the Celestials?
“Since the incident at Guang Palace that night, things have indeed become abnormal! It was only fitting that Tianjun Palace forbid people from going outside. Perhaps they already knew of this danger,” a teacher from one of the academies in Celestial spoke to his partner.
“You're right. The celestial was the most distant place with the underworld. Don't you think this is too weird? There must be someone who arranged the appearance of these demons!” tell someone else.
“Do you remember the man who appeared at the Guang Palace banquet that night? Could this have something to do with him?”
“Do not know, do not know. That night was too mysterious for us. That fine Guang Palace could be cursed overnight. If not a god, who can do that?”
They sighed. “Better we be careful now. The demon army may not have attacked. But in this world there are no good-natured demons. They will definitely start a mess.”
“True. We have to be careful.”
Meanwhile, the situation in Tianjun Palace became even more grim. Everyone looked tense and worried. The news of the deployment of the demon army did indeed greatly affect them.
Qing Yue’er stared at the talisman necklace on the table with a frown. The necklace was made with small circles of white jade. In each circle there are pictures of complicated formations.
“Are you sure this will work?” ask her to Mo Jingtian.
“That's all I can think of. At least the talisman needed should be something worn. Your mother must not let go,” replied the man patiently.
Finally Qing Yue’er nodded. “Good. No one knows these things anyway. Even if you prescribe a concoction of bird droppings I can only trust it,” he murmured softly.
Mo Jingtian just stared at him flatly. Did the girl's anxiety make her unable to say sweet things?
“Jingtian, what are you going to do now? Baili Linwu must have been so angry that he took out his demon army.”
The man sighed. His hand grabbed Qing Yue’er's hand and grasped it gently. “Yue’er, if we oppose Baili Linwu then it is impossible not to anger her. Don't be afraid.”
Qing Yue’er lowered her head with a complicated feeling. He thought he was a brave man all along. However, when faced with the situation now his heart felt fear.
The demon army had already started to appear whereas he did not have much time left. Was it after she gave up her life, Mo Jingtian had to settle the matter by herself?
By ourselves. How bad that is.
He looked up at the man sadly. Mo Jingtian had already lived hundreds of thousands of years alone. However, he could only accompany her for no more than five years. It was even far from one hundredth the age of the man.
“Jingtian ..” He cupped his hands on the man's face. “If the worst happens and I really die, can you wait for me? I definitely won't leave you alone.”
Mo Jingtian looked at the two girls eyes gently. “If you don't want to let me go, why do we still have to do it?”
Qing Yue’er rubbed the man's firm jaw then kissed his lips. “We have to do it even if we don't want.”
The man shut up and pulled her into his lap. His thumb rubbed the blue phoenix mark on Qing Yue’er's forehead. He said, “I'll be waiting for you. One hundred years, one thousand years …. If I could, I would even stop you in the river of forgetfulness, and pull you from the underworld.”
A small smile appeared on the girl's face. “Can you do it?”
“I should be able to, right?”
Qing Yue’er smiled. “But we don't know if I will die or not. What if all we know is lies?”
“Then I will kneel and prostrate to the heavens. I'll be a god and a good Son of Heaven.”
Mo Jingtian picked up the necklace on the table then gave it to Qing Yue’er. “Give it to your mother. Don't let him take it off no matter what the situation.”
Qing Yue’er nodded. He once again kissed Mo Jingtian's lips before finally standing up. “Then I will see my mother now.”
The man simply smiled and watched his departure without turning away. Then Qing Yue’er went to see her mother who was in the room.
Ever since Shaman's attack that day, Xie Yingfei had always been in the room. Of course his room had already been set up with some formations just in case the long-range attack came again.
That way might be safe, but it was quite troublesome as it caused him to be unable to go anywhere. While she still had to do various preparations for Qing Yue’er's wedding.
Qing Yue’er walked into her mother's room and saw the woman was embroidering a round fan that the bride usually carried on the wedding day. That made him smile.
“Mother, why bother? We can buy it if you want.”
Xie Yingfei smiled. He rubbed his half-finished embroidery. “This is my only daughter's wedding. How could I let someone else do it?”
Qing Yue’er's feeling became warm. He noticed the results of the embroidery were very neat. Two birds, one phoenix and one vermillion.
“I just found out that Mom is very good at embroidery. How-to? Can I try?”
All his life he had never learned to embroider. He thinks it's too feminine. He'd rather fight than embroider.
“You want to try it? Then look at.” Xie Yingfei happily taught Qing Yue’er while the girl simply nodded her head trying to remember her steps.
Afterwards, Xie Yingfei gave her embroidery on Qing Yue’er to continue. However, after several attempts, he only made the thread tangle and fall apart.
He tried to be patient and tried once more, but his ability did not improve at all. It just pissed him off and ran out of patience.
“Forget! I don't want it anymore,” grunts her while returning it to her mother.
Xie Yingfei chuckled. “Let me just. There's nothing I can do here anyway.”
Qing Yue’er finally remembered with her original purpose. He immediately took out the jade necklace and showed it to the woman. “Mother, your future daughter-in-law made this for you. With this necklace, Mother does not need to take refuge in the room anymore.”
Hearing that, Xie Yingfei became delighted. “Really?”
Qing Yue’er nodded then unlocked the necklace. She slowly put it on her mother's neck. A faint smile appeared on his lips.
“Don't take it off, Mother. At least until all this mess is done,” he said softly.
Xie Yingfei suddenly hugged the girl tightly. His heart became sad considering he might lose his beloved daughter. The time they spent was very short.
“Mother, don't be sad. Once Baili Linwu is defeated, father will definitely be freed. He will come back here and accompany you even longer,” Qing Yue’er half whispered.
Xie Yingfei's tears spread and the woman sobbed. Qing Yue’er could only close her eyes while rubbing her mother's back. He must strengthen his own heart.
Meanwhile, Mo Jingtian had a guest arrival when Qing Yue’er was with her mother. A man appeared out of thin air. The man gave his godly greetings.
“In Futian, it has been quite a while since we met,” said the man who was none other than Di Moxie. Her delicate and calm carry was still the same as it used to be, even though her heart was being engulfed in worry.
Mo Jingtian looked at him straight. “Why did you come here?”
“In a situation like now, no one can calm me but you.”
Di Moxie stepped closer. He had already heard about the appearance of the demon army. He also heard Di Fengxi and the other gods who were against Baili Linwu. This made him want to see Mo Jingtian.
“In Futian, how will you solve this problem?” At Moxie asked.
“Hmm ... How about you take me for a look at that demon army?” Mo Jingtian asked back. “It must have been a long time since you met the demon army.”
Di Moxie was a little surprised by the idea. “We'll go now?”
“Ya.” Mo Jingtian nodded. “Moreover .. we need to pick up some people.”
Both eyebrows at Moxie raised. “Pick up some people?” He became astonished. Who would Mo Jingtian bring to this situation?
Mo Jingtian did not reply. He picked up the stationery and left a message for Qing Yue’er. If the girl came back and found him not in the room, she would definitely be worried.
When he finished, he stood up. “As for who is coming, you will know later,” he told Di Moxie.
“Good. I'll accompany you.” Di Moxie had no doubts at all. He flicked his hand then the figures of the two of them instantly disappeared into thin air.
