Chapter 43: In My Veins

Eryk finally came with Katherine after finishing giving information about her home, she even scrambled to get to the hospital quickly.

"How's Lola doing!? Sebastian!? I didn't miss anything, did I!?" eryk asked in a tremendous panic. "They're okay, right!?"

"Eryk be calm, this is the hospital" said Katherine stroking Eryk's soft arm, soothing.

"They just started Lola's operation, and for Sebastian, it's stable, but it's still a matter of rest" Rainer said.

"You're not accompanying Sebastian?" ask Eryk kalem.

"There's Gaea, he's also resting there. I didn't want to bother them, so I waited for Lola's operation" Rainer said calmly.

Eryk furrowed his brows irritatedly, "Why is he able to sleep? I know she's traumatized just isn't it good to be with Lola?"

"Eryk, slow down your voice." Katherine warned again not to yell, bothering the people who were here.

Upon hearing the hospital, Gaea recalled the incident, "Lola!?"

"Sttt," Rainer said as he placed an index finger on his lips. "Sebastian is resting next to you, Gaea."

Gaea glanced beside him and it was true that Sebastian was sleeping there until a small snoring sounded, he got off the bed, his head was still dizzy, "What is Lola's condition?"

Rainer approached to help Gaea who was still limp, "He's still in the operating room. Thanks to you he survived, just waiting for the bullet to be taken."

Gaea breathed a sigh of relief once, "Thank God .." she said quietly; she did not know what it would be like if her blood did not match, to lose her best friend. "Thank God .." he couldn't hold back the tears of happiness, dripping one after another from his eye cuffs and wetting his cheeks.

Rainer smiled faintly, then wiped away the tears from Gaea's soft cheeks, "You've tried hard. Lola will definitely forgive you, you can be friends again."

"I interrupted something?"

Gaea and Rainer turned to look at Eryk and Katherine at the door.

"The operation is over, Lola is on a break now" Eryk said.

Gaea did not hear Eryk's words at all, her eyes fixed on Katherine who was beside the young man.

Eryk realized Gaea kept looking at Katherine, saying, "I forgot to introduce her to Gaea, introduce her to Katherine."

Gaea's eyes widened in shock; the beautiful young woman who was a model turned out to be Katherine? "Please Miss come with me" said Doctor Harry.

"I'm coming along," said Eryk and Rainer at the same time, they looked at each other, "you're here" they said again together.

Gaea scratched her arm nervously.

Why does he feel the room temperature here is rising dramatically?

"Eryk" said Rainer coldly.

They looked at each other sharply.

"You're here" said Rainer coldly.

"You're here, Rainer" said Eryk. "I'm coming because I want to know the hospital costs."

"I can do that." Rainer won't budge.

Eryk rolled his eyeballs, "I want to pay the hospital fee, Rainer," he said. "You don't have that kind of money."

Rainer did not answer him, clenching his hand to withstand the defeat of this debate.

Eryk smirked, "You wait here for Katherine, I'll be right back."

Katherine nodded in understanding.

Eryk looked at Gaea now, "Come." he asked.

Gaea nodded, then out of the room following Doctor Harry on the way, she felt her hand being pulled by Eryk making her stop, "What?"

"You okay?" ask Eryk worriedly.

Gaea was touched to hear it, her heart was flowery, she thought Eryk would be indifferent to her after Katherine returned, "I'm fine. You you?"

Eryk did not answer.

"I'm sorry." said Gaea, he should not have brought up Ferdinand's betrayal.

"Miss Gaea?" Doctor Harry called from a distance.

Eryk and Gaea soon followed, they entered the room all white too, there was only one table there which meant this was the private work room of Doctor Harry.

"Please sit down" said Doctor Harry kindly.

Gaea followed Eryk.

"So what's the matter with me, Doctor?" ask Gaea worriedly. "I don't have a serious illness, do I!?" he panicked again.

Doctor Harry laughed, "No, if Miss Gaea had a serious illness it would be impossible to donate blood. Too risky."

"Oh." Gaea breathed a sigh of relief, too panicked to make her forget the terms of blood donation.

Hygiene ...

Doctor Harry stared at Gaea intensely which made the young woman uncomfortable until she coughed to end it.

"I'm sorry Miss Gaea" said Doctor Harry.

Gaea shook her head.

Doctor Harry took a deep breath before asking, "Miss Gaea does she know for sure her blood type B is negative?"

Gaea's eyes widened, "I knew it from my mother. My mother said my blood was B negative so I never tested it, she also gave me advice not to donate my blood."

"Your mother is selfish." said Eryk coldly. "There are a lot of people who have died from lack of blood, and the fact that you're following your mother's will is outrageous."

"That's my mother's last words!" gaea exclaimed Eryk's emotions vilifying his mother in front of him. "I also want to donate, but my mother's will is not to do it, so I say, believe me I also want to donate."

Eryk was surprised, "I'm sorry, Gaea," he regretted in. "Of course I believe, you're a good woman."

Gaea did not answer.

"Is that? To be honest your mother lied about your blood type all along that I can understand why she did it" Harry said.

Gaea and Eryk's eyes widened.

"What does that mean?" ask Eryk curious.

Doctor Harry bowed for a moment, then looked at the two men seriously, "Since Miss Gaea has a golden blood called Rh-null which we thought was long extinct ..."

Rh-null is real, this is a gold blood type, this blood is suitable for donors to any blood type, which unfortunately Rh-null can only receive blood from Rh-null doang, who, the rarest in the world, in this novel I made this blood type extinct 😅 so you know how possessive Eryk's father is with Gaea
