Chapter 40: The Traitor

Gaea finished the rest of the bread in her hand, admitting it tasted good and had a soft texture let alone melted chocolate in it. However, as good as anything he still did not add, he still had to keep his eyes wide open.

They carried this suspicion so Gaea had to mount a high defense.

So far there is nothing suspicious just the usual chat with Alex and Lola especially Lola, who was still cold, slowly began to melt because of their chat, Alex helped once in this case, he said, he's really grateful.

Only Ferdinand took a long drink in the refrigerator, Gaea became suspicious of the burly man, there was no way Ferdinand planned anything?

"Our star is coming, baby!" said Alex.

Gaea glanced over and saw Ferdinand walking over here carrying a large box in his hand.

Ferdinand opened the box containing a beer bottle and threw it at Alex who was captured perfectly by his brother.

Gaea thinks Eryk's fridge saved a healthy drink yesterday or is it wrong? He did not check the top cooler because he believed there was only ice cubes or other frozen foods or it could be from orders at the bakery.

Does the bakery serve beer? Maybe the pizza, but the pizza Alex has brought here for what Ferdinand separated it?

Gaea's breathing began to disorganize.

Not likely.

"It's Gaea" Ferdinand said after putting a bottle of beer and a clear glass of ice cubes in the shape of small boxes.

"Why are you wearing ice? Wouldn't it take the taste out of the beer?" ask Gaea.

Ferdinand laughed, "We like to drink with ice cubes, we like to eat ice cubes especially Alex."

"Right," said Alex, who had just finished chomping on the ice. "If you don't want to, you can give it to me, babe."

"Are your teeth okay?" gaea asked, feeling that he saw Alex chewing on a chunk of ice as if it was soft.

"My teeth are healthy~ my teeth are strong~" Alex replied with a humming tone, took another bottle of beer, then drank it and then ate pizza.

Gaea was not surprised Eryk forbade storing fast food, seeing the three brothers eating voraciously made him not crave to eat, "You guys calm down" he said.

Lola stopped eating to answer, "We don't know when Eryk is coming back so I'm going to be quick to spend this" she said. "Gaea, you'll eat soon, you'll be hunted down."

"Who's fast he got, babe!" alex said with two pizzas in his hand.

Gaea rolled her eyeballs, and took the pizza from the box, she glanced again at her friend nothing suspicious, they ate with greed even Ferdinand who had been suspicious had come to eat and drink. He brought the pizza piece closer to his lips, took another look, and at that moment he saw Ferdinand and Alex throwing away the ice cubes in their glass filled with new ice cubes.

'Didn't they like to eat ice?' gaea said in astonished hearts.

Gaea glanced at the beer inside her glass, the ice had melted because she had not been drinking it, glanced at those who were busy eating while chatting, she immediately hid her glass behind her back, spilled it onto the green grass beneath it, and placed it again on the table, "The beer was bad because the ice had melted away."

"You're supposed to replace it, babe" Alex said.

Lola, who had finished eating, was sitting in a long chair pushing her glass to Gaea with her fan, "Still frozen, Ge still drank my glass," she said before smiling mockingly. "or are you now disgusted with me?"

"Of course not," Gaea strongly denied, only if he drank it for what he had thrown it away? And again everything is now on him. Forced to take it, pour the beer into his glass and put the beer in his mouth, "Fermish sefbentwr" he said with his mouth still full of beer, immediately ran into the kitchen to spit out the beer in his mouth in the sink. He cleaned his lips with tap water.

"Don't move."

Gaea froze in her place standing feeling something hard pressed against her back; she recognized this voice, the voice that had been partying with her, "Why are you doing this Ferdinand?"

Ferdinand did not reply but said coldly, "Follow me with your hands on your head, Gaea."

Ferdinand moaned in pain at the power of Gaea's pot lid punch, he stared intently at Gaea for a bit then ran to pick up the gun that fell on the floor not far from him.

Gaea also ran to where her gun was, realizing she couldn't take it, he immediately threw the metal pot lid that was still in his hand at Ferdinand which made the young man successfully groan in pain holding his head . He immediately used this to retrieve the gun, but one of his legs was pulled by Ferdinand who made him fall and they tried to fight over the gun.

Gaea defended, while Ferdinand tried to snatch from it.

"I don't want to hurt you, Gaea," Ferdinand said on the sidelines of this mess. "You're making this situation complicated."

Gaea did not care, his strength was almost exhausted to defend the gun, this way the gun would change hands and he would not be able to escape! There is no other way than that way! With all the force he kicked in Ferdinand's personality, the successful return made the young man groan in pain holding onto his personality.

Gaea immediately stood up and ran to the backyard where Lola and Alex were, he was impressed to see the two asleep, Lola in the chair while Alex in the grass.

'Why is their sleeping position abnormal?' gaea said in his heart.

Gaea immediately ran to where Alex was, shaking the young man's body, "Alex! Alex! Wake up!"

There's no answer.

Gaea touched Alex's neck to check her breathing and pulse, "Sleeping pills ...?"

From where? If observed the dose must be high from Alex who did not respond at all.

Gaea puts Alex again, he honestly wants to move, but he's playing with 'time' with Ferdinand, he's going to Lola's place, shaking his best friend's body too, "Lola? A lola? Be aware!"

Lola's blue eyes opened slowly making the smile on Gaea's lips expand.

"Lola? Thank goodness you woke up." said Gaea relieved.

"What's going on?" asked Lola to hold her head. "I was very sleepy and unconscious ...?" said clumsy.

"You're really troublesome."

Gaea glanced at Ferdinand who had caught up with him complete with a gun pointed at him.

"Ferdinand?" Lola, who was still not fully aware, was confused as to why Ferdinand had brought a gun and was again fixed on Gaea. "What are you ...?" he did not finish his words, Ferdinand fired a bullet into his stomach.

Gaea cried out in shock, "Lola!"—seeing that Lola who had returned weakly to the chair alongside in the blood that was starting to come out made her anger peak, she immediately pointed her gun at Ferdinand; focus. Then pulled the trigger, which hit Ferdinand's gun making the gun bounce into the pool. He pulled the trigger again unfortunately no bullets came out making him throw it into the pool as well.

They looked at each other sharply.

"I'm making you regret hurting the person who's most important to me!" gaea said emotion.

Ferdinand smiled faintly, "You think you can defeat me with your jeet kune do?"
