The lights inside the warehouse have not been lit. It was completely pitch-black, and literally nothing could be seen clearly.
They could only rely on the dim moonlight that sneaked in through the window to see their direction.
"Where is Captain Li and the others?" Zhao Youlin asked in a low voice as she leaned against the large square stone pillar.
The police officer beside him replied in a low voice, “Captain Li and the others are in at two. They wait in front of the warehouse and are ready to provide assistance at any time.”
Zhao Youlin nodded. He gripped the gun in his hand tightly and glanced at the silent warehouse.
Frowning his brows, he made up his mind. “Divided into two teams. One team will come with me, while the other team will go with Mu Chen. Flanking enemies, but be careful not to warn them.”
The dozen people behind him automatically split into two teams after hearing Zhao Youlin's words. They followed Zhao Youlin and Mu Chen from two different directions.
Then, they approached the van that had just been pushed into the warehouse and surrounded them. They sneak into the van nimbly, only to find no one inside.
Even the driver's seat is empty. The space behind the driver's seat is also empty. Zhao Youlin frowned. He's got a bad feeling.
Even before he had a moment to ponder, he reacted suddenly based on the intuition he had developed over his years of experience in facing danger. He immediately rolled to one side on the ground.
At the same time, several bullets hit the car seat. The sound of gunfire accompanied by the startled cries of his team-mates being shot echoed in the warehouse.
Zhao Youlin turned her head and looked at where she had been squatting before. There were two plumes of white smoke that had not disappeared.
It was not difficult to imagine what would happen if he reacted a little slower now.
With that thought, Zhao Youlin's face darkened.
He gritted his teeth and cursed in a low voice, “Damn it! We've been framed.” The van was empty, the inside of the warehouse was pitch black, and snipers were waiting to ambush them.
He took advantage of the cover provided by the van and shot in the dark corners several times. As he expected, he heard people snorting and bodies hitting the ground.
After hitting a few people in a row, Zhao Youlin returned to take cover under the van again. He refilled his weapon quickly and slowly moved towards a dark figure not far from him he also shot in the corner.
"Sister Lin, are you okay?" Mu Chen was delighted when he saw Zhao Youlin.
He asked about her condition with a gun in his hand. "I'm doing fine. How're you? How are things?”
"I'm fine too. Some people have... Some of them were injured.”
Zhao Youlin's face darkened, and she said, “Wait a minute. As soon as the second team heard the sound of gunfire, they would definitely rush over here soon.”
After he said this, Mu Chen immediately replied with a bitter smile, "Sister Lin, even though what you said is true ..."
Zhao Youlin froze. He stared past Mu Chen and saw empty magazines scattered on the ground. He had emptied the magazine in his gun a second ago. Zhao Youlin looked at Mu Chen, and her eyes twinkled.
Suddenly, he took out the two remaining magazines from his waist and put them into Mu Chen's hands. Mu Chen was surprised. He widened his eyes and looked at Zhao Youlin in disbelief.
"Sister Lin, you—"
“Enough with his bullshit. Hold it down. I'll manage. You don't have to die.” Zhao Youlin cut him impatiently.
Immediately after, he darted into the empty space above him. His gaze was cold and he shot at the dark corners a few more times.
As he rolled his body on the ground, he dodged a few more shots from the other side. Then, he stepped on the ground and took the opportunity to pounce on the dark corner closest to him.
