“So, you're named Alissa?”
When I got home, a middle-aged man stood straight in front of me. The brown coat he wore was made of satin, it was obvious that this person was wealthy. He even pinned various royal badges on his chest. Her hair was the same color as mine - dark brown, cut short and neat. Her current appearance is exactly what I described in one of the flashback scenes while writing from Alissa's point of view.
“Who?” my many. I deliberately followed the dialogue I had written myself. I can even mention in detail what will happen after I ask.
The man would smile, then reveal the facts before this five-year-old Alissa.
“My name is Alfred Valcke. I am your father.”
Then, what happened next rolled so fast. As I wrote in the novel, the duke wanted to take Alissa away and live with her in the capital.
“What? Nah! I won't allow it!”
Aunt Edma looked bellowed furiously at the duke. Actually, there is a very big risk for ordinary people to oppose the words of a noble. It was also seen from some of Duke Valcke's bodyguards who prepared to attack Aunt Edma as soon as he issued his refusal.
“Do not hurt my mother!” penny shouted as she ran and hugged her mother who was brandished with a sword by the guards.
“Let your swords down. These are the Alissa family, never threaten the safety of my daughter's family!” the duke's word. The guards kept their swords back.
“Mrs Edma,” says the Duke. Very politely she called an ordinary folk as a mistress. “I only want the best for Alissa. I want Alissa to get the best education, and it's only in the capital!”
“But, you know for yourself what is the reason Alissa was born in this small village!”
A reason? Is there really a reason why Alissa Valcke was born in the village of Virindan far from the capital? As I recall, I never wrote down any background as to why Alissa the illegal duke princess lives here.
However, it seemed like Duke Alfred Valcke understood what Aunt Edma had said. Seen from his nod, though he still maintained his opinion by saying, “This is all for Alissa's sake. I want her to be able to become a learned woman in the future.”
Aunt Edma seemed unshakable with her stance. Until Duke Valcke relented and chose to return to the inn in the next town.
“I'll be back two days later. I won't give up until I can give Alissa the rights as a descendant of Valcke.”

That night, the atmosphere sounded silent at the dining table. Uncle Krish and Aunt Edma did not speak in the slightest. I was also wrong with his behavior. No one started a conversation to discuss what happened this afternoon.
“Lissa, is it true that you will leave us all?”
Apparently among everyone, Penny who was clearly looking sad and even now shed tears. I was confused as to how to answer this innocent child's question.
On the one hand, these three, Aunt Edma, Uncle Krish, and Penny, were like my own family. Not only as a complement to Alissa Valcke's story in the Knight Lucius novel, but really the real family. Even though I wrote the world in this novel, I would not have been able to grow to five years and be healthy like this were it not for their upbringing.
However, on the other hand I realized that I also had to make the story of this Knight Lucius go according to the plot. I'm not sure if I can return to my home world, but I have a hunch that it all has to do with Alissa's death at the end of the story. Although not yet sure one hundred percent, but most likely there will be something that happens if Alissa stays alive until the storyline of book one “Knight Lucius” ends.
“Lissa! Answer, don't you want to stay with us anymore!”
“Penny, stop! Don't be like that! Alissa will feel burdened the way you are.” Uncle Krish prevented Penny from forcing me further. Tumben once Uncle Krish issued an opinion. Usually, he was always silent and according to whatever decision his Aunt Edma made.
“Alissa.” Aunt Edma started to make a sound. “Now tell me your wish. Do you really want to go to school in the capital?”
“... yes, Aunty,” I replied honestly. Penny's cry grew even more after hearing it.
“Penny, I can still visit you here. Don't cry, yes ... ,” I persuaded my foster brother, but it had no effect. The girl looked so hard that her meal stopped.
Penny is not alone. Aunt Edma seemed to shed tears as well. If it's like this, how could I possibly leave them?
“I ... very grateful to all of you. You are indeed the best family, I did not expect to meet you in this world ..”
I remember both of my parents. I haven't been to their house for a long time, but Mas Dion always takes me. My reason is because I'm too busy with all my writing. My parents live in the village, the internet network there is not as good as in the city. That's what stops me from going there. I can't renew the chapter of my novels if I live in my parents' house. Going there also has to stay more than a week because the village where they live is quite remote.
However, since repeating my life in this world back to being a baby, I realized that my parents had made many sacrifices for me. They took care of me, changed diapers, fed me and gave me shelter. For all that, they have to work hard, for my needs to be met.
I could have done the opposite when I was an adult. I sacrificed them all for the sake of my novels, for the sake of fictitious characters that even my fingertips could not compare to the sacrifice of my parents. Not only did Mas Dion and Dimas, it turned out that I also sacrificed the people closest to me to do something that I liked. In fact, to become a writer, there is their support all behind me.
I could be disobedient to everyone I should be prioritizing. Could it be that I who was thrown into this world, was God's way of awakening me?
“Alissa, why did you even come to cry .. .” Penny hugged me suddenly. It turned out that I had shed tears as well, just like him.
“Main-play here later if you are already a city person, yes. Never forget all of us ...”
Uncle Krish got up from his seat and stroked my head. Aunt Edma came over and hugged me. I know, Alissa Valcke won't get the same family warmth again like this after living in the capital. So let me, tonight, spend more time with Aunt Edma's family.
Two days felt so fast. Duke Valcke has come back in a luxurious carriage. Surely, he was so happy the moment he heard I was willing to go with him and live in the capital. However, I will not leave without leaving something for Aunt Edma's family.
“I'll come with you, Dad. But, there are conditions.”
