Keep your heart from getting hurt!

After a really great dinner with good food and a supportive atmosphere, they decided to take a short walk along this beach. They will walk to the end of the beach because there they will meet the driver who delivered them this morning.

Along this beach only has a makeshift lighting that comes from the shopping center they visited earlier. But tonight is beautiful, the moon shines full in the sky with stars adorning the sky. Light breeze. The waves that come sweeping the sand come alternately.

Dave and Fiona decide to take off their sandals and put them in their hands. They walk on a stretch of white sand that looks shiny at night.

"Thank you for today and the food" Fiona said.

"Together!"

Dave walked up to Fiona and clasped Fiona's hand. Fiona looks reluctant but does not get rid of Dave's hand. When they reached the middle, Dave stopped walking. He reached into his pocket and picked up a box. Dave gives the box to Fiona.

"What's this?"

"Open up!" pinta Dave's.

Fiona opened the door and was surprised to see the contents. The golden bracelet with one diamond in the middle that he had seen earlier. How did Dave know? think Fiona.

"How do you know and why did you buy it? These bracelets are very expensive!"

"I glanced at you when you saw this bracelet and when you came out of the shop, I immediately asked the waiter what you saw and tried earlier. You likey?"

"Dave you shouldn't have bought this. I can't take it, sorry!" reject Fiona.

Dave was his first love and the first person to kiss his lips. When Dave's parents come and say that he and Dave will be betrothed and also when Dave does not reject this matchmaking, Fiona's heart is happy. But a few days later when Dave gave a letter of agreement that they would divorce after a year, Fiona's heart ached. Even then, Fiona still believes that one day Dave will love her.

Fiona returns the box to Dave and begins to move on. Dave immediately pulled Fiona and hugged her. Dave whispered in Fiona's ear.

"Please don't refuse this gift of mine!"

Without waiting any longer, Dave pulled Fiona's hand and put the bracelet in her hand. While putting up the bracelet, Dave sees how small Fiona's hand is. The bracelet matched their wedding ring, Dave thought.

Fiona who can't resist Dave, just looks at Dave.

Please don't treat me like this! Because I can't control my feelings! Because I'm gonna fall in love with you again! think Fiona.

"Why difficult?"

"Because I won't be able to control my feelings. Because our marriage will be over in a year. Because we're getting a divorce!" said Fiona.

"Maybe to you I'm just one of the ordinary girls you can play with but to me, I won't play with people's feelings or hurt them. Someday you'll meet the girl you like, so will I!" added Fiona.

"If you meet someone you love before we get married for a year, I won't make it difficult for you to get divorced. But if I'm the one who met someone before that, please don't make it harder on me either."

Dave who just stood up and stared at Fiona said "I'm not playing with your feelings, Fio!"

"Then do you love me?"

Indeed Dave began to like Fiona who he thinks is different from other girls. Fiona is naturally beautiful, smart, innocent and not flirtatious. But loving?

"No, I don't love you. Sorry!" say Dave.

Fiona who already knew that Dave would answer like that, still felt her heart hurt. Fiona tried to refrain from crying. Fiona turned her head up into the sky and exhaled. After managing to control and hide her grief, Fiona looks into Dave's eyes.

"Then don't treat me like you did this morning or this time. I don't need a gift from you. I beg of you, treat me like a friend or a sister. Let's go through this marriage until the deadline we've set."

Fiona, who is still trying to control herself so as not to cry, decides to walk first so as not to be seen by Dave. Behind Fiona, Dave walks after her. Finally they reached the end of this beach and found out where their driver parked his car.

During the drive back to the resort and bungalow, they just sit and shut up.

Maybe this is best for both of us and so I can keep my heart from getting hurt, Fiona said.

Arriving at the bungalow, Fiona immediately rushed to pick up her nightgown and entered the bathroom. Fiona stands under the shower and cries while looking at Dave's gift bracelet that Dave does not want to receive when returned by Fiona.

Fiona receives a beautiful bracelet but does not get Dave's love.

Fiona wasn't sure if she could get through this wedding for a year.
