Eps. 26 — Farewell
According to Xiao Fan there are two characteristics of why a swordsman feels ordinary after they kill, the first feature is because he is used to killing and other characteristics because the person enjoys killing himself.
The first characteristic is generally found in a swordsman who is in the group of assassins, where murder is their daily work so as to make him accustomed while the second characteristic is usually found in the crazy in the world of criminals, where this lunatic has to kill just to enjoy life.
Unfortunately Xiao Fan did not see those two traits in Zhou Yuan, even further down the line the little boy was not a criminal.

Xiao Fan obviously did not expect when he arrived the Zhou Family had been attacked by the group of assassins even though he thought the group of assassins would only target his grandson secretly.
Without waiting any longer, Xiao Fan went straight there and his arrival coincided with Zhou Bing who was in a severe condition. That was when he appeared and helped Zhou Bing.
Xiao Fan apologized for arguably, the attack was caused because of himself.
"You don't need to apologize, Fan, this isn't your fault and actually the matter isn't that simple..." Zhou Bing waved his hand.
"Bing, this is definitely my fault! If I hadn't been here a while ago, your family probably wouldn't have been attacked the way it is today."
Zhou Bing smiled faintly at the reaction of his old friend, he then told about the past between himself and Ling Yun which was filled with mutual hatred and resentment.

Zhou Bing obviously never thought revenge between him and Ling Yun would involve his entire family, he regretted in the past not directly killing Ling Yun when there was a chance.

There was a lot that Xiao Fan had to do in his clan as the Supreme Elder especially about the case of Xiao Sha, Xiao Fan made sure that when he returned Xiao Sha would get a heavy punishment.
On the other hand Xiao Rou looked sad when she realized she was going to part with Zhou Yuan, she was indeed happy to be able to return to her clan but her heart felt that something was missing.
"Miss Xiao, your kick swing is less fast and straightforward, focus the swing on the points of the opponent's vital parts!" Zhou Yuan told as the two practiced on the last night before Xiao Rou left.
Previously, Xiao Rou had indeed asked Zhou Yuan to return to training even though the girl had only reasoned to want to be with Zhou Yuan for longer.
"Teacher, will we meet again?" Xiao Rou asked as he swung another kick.
Zhou Yuan frowned before smiling faintly, he understood which direction the girl was speaking. "Is Miss Xiao not happy to be back home again?"
"Teacher, I'm certainly happy but here..." Xiao Rou let out a heavy breath and could not continue with his words.
"Don't I say it before," Zhou Yuan smiled gently. "As long as Miss Xiao or I live, we have the opportunity to meet again, distance is not a reason meetings cannot happen..."
"Teacher, I'm not sure about that."
After Xiao Rou returned, according to his grandfather he would go to study at the Academy to train his martial level even further.

Xiao Rou nodded, there was no doubt in his decision. "Said Grandpa, this is mine then I am free to do anything including giving it to others, and now I am giving this to you, Master."
Zhou Yuan smiled then thanked him and kept the blue earrings under his cloak.
The next day Xiao Rou and Xiao Fan left, the other members of the Zhou Family drove the two of them to the end of the border gate.
Zhou Yuan saw the pair of grandchildren and the grandfather started to disappear in the distance, he stared at the earrings Xiao Rou gave him for a moment before turning around and entering his residence, Zhou Yuan was intending to rehearse.
