Ep. 43 Story of Anita

Anita and Wigih sit on a park bench not far from their class which is provided by the school for students to rest or sit back while reading books. There they both look very serious. Wigih with a cold face and Anita though trying to look calm but in her heart the girl was nervous.

"Speak, we don't have much time because the break will be over soon." Said Wigih starting their conversation without staring at his interlocutor.

"How's your leg? Does it still hurt?" Anita asked as she glanced at Wigih's foot wrapped in a cast.

"Lumayan is not sick. You'd better get to the heart of our conversation, I'm sure we're not here to talk about my feet." Wigih spoke a little fiercely.

"Alright, I'm meeting just to apologize and thank you." Said Anita while slightly bowing her face. His words were so sincere that it sounded so strange in Wigih's ears. Anita doesn't usually behave like this.

Wigih then looked at Anita who was sitting next to him, frowned her forehead until she squinted her eyes and said....

"I'm sorry and thank you for what?" Asked Wigih who did not understand at all. Perhaps for an apology Wigih slightly understood why the girl beside him said that to him. Because all this time Anita always pestered her life, not the real evil thing but leads to things that make her uncomfortable because of the behavior and treatment of the girl against her. But why is he thanking her? Wigih was confused about that.

"Sorry because all this time I always make you troubled and uncomfortable because my behavior is spoiled, childish and always want more attention from you. And I'm also grateful that you were the first to extend your hand as the other kids moved away and didn't want to be friends with me." Anita said with a smile looking at Wigih.

"What do you mean? I don't understand, haven't many wanted to be friends with you." Wigih increasingly made do not understand.

Anita turned her gaze forward, looking away at the memories of her past.

"When you went to school at SD Gemilang right?" Tanya Anita who is possessed by Wigih.

"Kok you know?" Wigih is confused again how this spoiled girl knows about her school first? What is Anita's obsession with her? The naughty questions stop in her brain until Anita says something she never expected.

"Because I went to school there too." Anita's words made Wigih surprised. How could Anita also go to school in the same Elementary School as her first if she does not remember it. Yes there may be some memories of his childhood friend in SD that Wigih forgot about, but a girl like Anita who is always a prima donna in this school, of course, will not be easily forgotten if she used to go to the same place as herself, right? "How is it possible? I don't even remember a friend who looked like you, Nita." Wigih.

"Of course you won't remember Gih, because at that time my appearance was very different." Anita paused her speech, then she looked back at the Wigih who was still frowning at her.

"You remember that fat girl who was always bullied and shunned by the other kids?" Ask Anita to Wigih.

"Yes of course I remember, the girl was named...." Wigih hung up his words, "Wait... She has the same name as you, there's no way she's..." Wigih again hung up his sentence and looked at the girl next to him who was now nodding with a smile on her face.

"Yes, it was me." Anita confirmed the answer.

"But how can you change completely like this?" Asked Wigih who was still surprised at the truth he had just obtained.

"Over the story, obviously I was desperately losing weight when I started entering Junior High because I wanted to have many friends especially at that time you entered a different Junior High School with me. No one else will protect me if I get bullied again, then I have to protect myself. Yes.. be me on a diet during the school graduation holidays and my weight was quite down when I started entering Junior High." The sentence Anita made Wigih look on in disbelief, it turns out the quiet fat girl who always helped when experiencing bullying was Anita friend during SD first.

"And when we started going to high school how happy I was to see you back at this same school." Further.

"But why didn't you say it from the beginning if you were that Anita?" Wigih.

"Because you've forgotten me."

"You should remind me of Nita."

"Of course, but you still can't remember." Anita with a clear view.

"Yes, I greeted you for the first time but you only returned the potluck. I deliberately remind you of the food or snacks that we often eat at rest. Even from the beginning I introduced myself as Anita Panduwijaya you still do not remember." Anita replied sadly.

"I'm sorry... I guess it's just a coincidence and how can I think that you're the same person if your current appearance is so much different from what it used to be." Wigih felt a little guilty.

"Sorry...." Said Anita.

"Why should you apologize? I should've apologized to you for forgetting our friendship. And make us two people who misunderstand each other." Wigih.

"But still it's not appropriate for me to be overprotective of you as if you are mine and make you feel uncomfortable. I should have explained it long ago when there was time." Reveal Anita while looking down regretting her actions.

"That's it.... Forget it all, what matters now is that everything is clear and there is no more misunderstanding." Wigih's heartfelt words warmed Anita's heart, she had not talked this casually with Wigih and now a heavy burden seemed to evaporate from her shoulders. He smiled and nodded his head.

"And now your desire to make so many friends has been achieved, see how many of them want to get to know you more closely." Puji Wigih's.

"Yes, but not as sincere as you." Answer Anita.

"You mean?" What else is Anita worried about? Wigih doesn't understand.

"They're good in front but not behind me. I overheard some friends talking in the bathroom, not knowing that I was there in one of the cubicles. They said they were friends with me because I was beautiful and popular, because I was a member of OSIS. They're just fucking around." Reveal again.

"Don't listen to them, they're so because they envy you." Entertain Wigih while patting softly on Anita's shoulder.

"It's okay, really I'm okay compared to what I have experienced in SD first, this is nothing. I now love myself more and accept my own advantages and disadvantages." Anita replied with a genuine smile.

"And I am so grateful and grateful that God considers you to be my true friend. Thank you, Wigih." Continue with teary eyes.

"Hey... Don't be sad don't make me feel guilty." Said Wigih gently rubbing Anita's shoulder, trying to give her little friend peace. They finally laughed together to take off all the burdens.

"I'm not sad, I'm just moved not to think that I could finally come out like this to you."

"Basin crybaby!" Ejek Wigih joking.

"So we're still friends?" Anita asked doubtfully.

"Of course, you are my friend forever as long as you reduce your attitude that always sticks to me everywhere." Say Wigih in a style that decites.

"Haha... Of course, I don't want someone there to be misunderstood either." Anita answered by pointing at Wigih's chest with her index finger.

"What's so unclear?!" Wigih feels wrong with Anita's ambiguous speech.

"I don't know if every morning or after school you always sneak into Jully's class when it's empty." Anita said casually half-mockingly making Wigih flabbergasted in shock.

"A. a.mmm... Since when did you know about it?" Tanya Wigih stuttered in disbelief it turns out she was caught like this, even though she was sure no one knew it because she was very careful.

The sound of the bell coming in rang, indicating that the time of rest was over. Anita immediately moved from her seat ignoring the question from Wigih, making the man growled himself.

"Heii Nit, don't go yet! Answer my question!" Shouted Wigih with a furious feeling following the steps of Anita who was in front of him. Her cast-clad feet and the stick in her hands made it difficult for her to equalize the pace with Anita.

Anita suddenly stopped her steps and looked back at Wigih who also stopped her steps.

"Eatya if you like it says directly dong... Don't play with the rich letters of SD kids." After saying that with a slight mischievous flick in her eyes, Anita resumed her steps while saying something without turning her head again.

"Just calm down, your secret is safe in my hands."

While Wigih could not speak anymore, her lips were faint, she gasped at the statement Anita had just revealed. So when did Anita know everything? And how did he know?
