Ch.15 - Anna's Story

Berlin is Anna's childhood friend, even considering Anna as her own biological sister.

Hearing Cyrus's words that Anna was now his slave, Berlin was devastated. The expression of the facial expression and the feeling of the heart that was originally happy because of meeting Anna now instantly turned chaotic.

Berlin could not imagine how tortured Anna had been a slave to the demon race, because the demon race was the cruelest race among the other races.

The atmosphere that previously felt happy and moving now instantly turned so awkward.

“But Anna, your life will never be as free as it used to be.” Anna said with a sad look on her face. However Anna explains, Berlin understands how tormented it is to become a slave let alone a slave to the devil, because the devil is the cruelest race among the other races.

The awkward atmosphere continued, while now they were in front of the slum where the prisoners were.

Since the three of them had found nothing of value in there, Cyrus immediately went from there and burned the slum. Cyrus, however, could not waste much time continuing to travel to the southern continent.

After burning the slum building and the bodies inside, Cyrus now rushed to the treasure room where the goblins of course with the help of the map system.

Anna frowned, “I am so grateful that you are the only human survivor from here.” Anna said as she hugged Berlin.

The heated conversation continued as they walked after Cyrus from behind. The awkward atmosphere of knowing Anna was a slave is now slowly disappearing after learning Cyrus' nature looks different from the rumors about the demon Berlin heard.

This horse-drawn carriage was slightly different from the one Cyrus and Anna saw while still on the intercontinental track. The horse-drawn carriage carried no human slaves but armed equipment escorted by hundreds or even thousands of troops from the human kingdom who were traveling to the central continent.

Before the war between humans and demons 7 years ago, Anna lived with her father in a small village near the border between the southern continent and the forbidden forest. Her mother died long before Anna was 2 years old.

Anna's father was an adventurer who was one of the pride in the village as a protector from the forbidden forest monster attack.

Then Anna continued her question, “Then... how are the conditions of other citizens?” Anna put on a sad face.
