Chapter 46: Goblin Attack
We were just filling up this morning with small talk until one ran towards us all. Roxy was the one who approached him first.
"You okay?"
"The city attacked by monsters is too many to face us, you guards quickly help us."
The one who spoke was the man who was the friend of the arrogant man.
Karl was about to speak but Roxy immediately stopped him, he must have wanted to say that it was all his responsibility. Of all of us, no one blamed him. Eventually, the whole town or village will be attacked.
"The exploration of the Devil's Forest will be retreated first, all of them are riding on horses and we will go to the city."
"Good."
Everyone replied in unison, there is no point guarding the fortress if the monsters themselves have already entered the city.
That's why we followed Roxy's orders.
I rode on the white horse with Harty in front, Rion in his sword form on my waist while Valentine flew with his umbrella.
Amarzuki quietly brought his horse next to me while whispering.
"The adventurers upset me, when we need their help, they don't want to help, their turn in distress they ask us for help."
"Vice chief," Roxy's voice warned.
"I just wanted to talk, I'm sorry."
Amarzuki moved away from me while closing one eye.
I can only smile wryly at him.
Arriving at the city Roxy raised his sword while shouting.
"Everything spreads and kills them."
"Hooi."
I could see the arrogant man slaughtering the attacking goblins. I got off the horse with Harty to fight in person.
"It's time to beat them."
Harty ran after saying that while I pulled my sword to slash the goblins that were approaching with Roxy next to me.
A goblin ran towards me as I was about to slash him down first with an arrow through his head.
"This is not a competition" I said to Karl who was gallantly shooting from his horse.
"He is like that so don't be ignored" Roxy said, slashing the goblin that jumped at him.
"I don't mind him like that then I don't have to work hard while my pay is still the same."
"Haha I think so."
I decapitated three goblins at once before running to save the overwhelmed adventurers.
"For the wounded you all stand down, the rest leave it to us."
"You're only level one you have no right to rule us."
These people still have arrogance at times like this.
Ten goblins jumped at us with a single slash of mine their bodies were cut into pieces until blood spurted towards the faces of the adventurers.
"Go quickly."
"Good."
They finally comply. I turned my gaze towards my colleague, Harty hitting the face of one goblin to send him flying into the air, the goblin hit the wall making his body divorced.
Valentine floated in the air and ensnared his enemies with roses.
Amarzuki said towards me while holding the head of the goblin he had decapitated.
"Your party members are great, if there are any they all feel easy."
I thought until when did he stop praising my party members and also throw that head away quickly.
Among this group of goblins was a larger goblin at the back, he carried a giant machete with a crown behind him.
"Isn't that goblin king?"
"What's possible if we beat him then the disaster factor will stop."
"No, usually the king appointed by the demon forest will not come out of the region, even if we defeat it the disaster factor will not disappear."
Inevitably in the end we had to go to the demon forest to solve everything.
