Bella's Script

Bella's Script
Explanation

Bella and Devan are now sitting in the chair of a room reserved for families of patients being treated in the ICU. The emptiness of this room makes them free to do the activities they need.

Bella is still treating her husband's injuries. Starting from cleaning it with NaCl liquid, then applying an antibiotic ointment.

Their distance is very close, making Devan can see how Bella's eyes are still damp and red was staring at him. Very full of worry. She knew Bella needed an explanation right now but this woman preferred to first treat the wounds on her face instead of scolding Devan with many questions on her mind. His worries were much greater than his anger.

And again, Devan felt so guilty for what he had done to Bella. Ozi was right, if he couldn't get Bella to see her father, he should be able to explain Bella. Bella may be able to very easily understand Devan's situation but because of her panic, she forgot everything.

“Mas why not want to be on medicine with a nurse here?” Bella asked while covering up one of Devan's wounds on her forehead. Wounds that resemble sharp objects and whether using what tools. Devan was in the hospital but his injuries were not treated intentionally.

“I'm not used to anyone else being near me.” Devan said honestly.

They had met the view for a few seconds when Bella switched to treat the corner of her lips are red bloody but then Bella again pay attention to the wound that must be in the cure.

“Do my whereabouts still feel like a threat to Mas?” Bella continued without taking her eyes off Devan's wounds.

Devan did not answer. He prefers to pull Bella's hand and then hold it.

“It's enough, I've healed.” He said slowly.

Bella doesn't chim in. He chose to let go of Devan's hand, then put the drugs into the crackle he was carrying. Bella is busy with managing the position of the drug in the plastic and collecting consumables such as tissue and cotton while thinking about what really happened to Devan.

Suddenly, Devan came down. He sat down in front of Bella, looking down.

“I, sorry Bell,..” His voice sounded raucous. Like there were a lot of sharp objects blocking the way of his voice.

“I know, I shouldn't behave like that like you.” He dared to look at Bella who was sitting in front of him while his eyes chose to turn in the other direction.

Devan could see Bella's teary eyes and almost shed tears. He grabbed Bella's hand that hesitated to stretch out and held her tightly. Several times he managed to catch his breath, feeling that he felt much better by holding Bella's hand.

“I'm always stupid, whenever something threatens the people I love. I always wanted to protect everyone I loved but I always failed. And I was always afraid of losing them but stupidly I gave them a reason to leave.”

“If you don't understand it yet, I don't have a problem. But allow me to say, if I'm so sorry to leave you like last night, Bell.” He looked at Bella with a stern look. Like asking for forgiveness.

Bella's gaze turned to Devan. There was a heavy sigh as he returned Devan's gaze.

“How can mas know I understand or not while Mas himself does not explain anything to me?” Bella asked with a tight hold.

Just this time she stared back at her husband's sad face.

Devan smiled wryly, laughing at his own stupidity. Bella was right, how could she make Bella understand everything while she could only run away like a coward?

Maybe he should have told me what was the reason he left.

A few hours ago

Amri's panic grows as Devan receives a message from his best friend Diego.

“Help!” Write Diego as a caption of a photo and location he sent Devan.

The deg!

Devan's heart sagged as he looked at Amri who was helplessly rolled on the paved ground. He saw the location that Diego sent and it turned out to be the burial site of his late mother.

“Shit!” Dengus Devan with anger that suddenly peaked. He was so panicked that he could not think anything and just walked back and forth in his room.

Every sentence that came out of his wife's mouth was like a pressure that made Devan's mind more deadlocked and confused.

“I have to go!” Only a line of that sentence then filled his thoughts and feelings. He cleaned up all his belongings because he had to hurry to meet the father who he had to save immediately.

With a troubled mind, Devan and Bella finally whistled tensely. He unconsciously snapped at Bella to make Bella shed her tears. Devan grew increasingly upset and he was forced to have a heated argument with Bella. Something he never wanted in his entire life.

The longer he argued with Bella, the more likely he was to be hurt.

To him, he could not explain everything now. He also can not bring Bella to participate because the possibility of Bella's safety next will be threatened.

Without thinking much less waiting for Bella's approval, Devan leaves Bella in the apartment alone.

Throughout the journey Devan's mind continued to argue. The thought of Amri being threatened because he whistled hard to meet his beloved wife. Devan can understand that but he thinks not for now. But Amri has made his own decision by going to Singapore without taking Devan. He was like depositing his life to his brother-in-law Alwi.

A troubled mind made Devan several times almost hit another vehicle because of his careless and hasty driving. All the opportunities he took to get to the airport immediately.

Arriving at the airport, Devan immediately bought a flight ticket to Singapore. He also had a great debate with airport officials when he got the news that the ticket was up and the plane was about to leave.

“LIVING SOMEONE IS BEING THREATENED AND I HAVE TO SAVE HIM. I CAN SUE YOU IF SOMETHING BAD HAPPENS TO THE PERSON!” Devan yelled threatening the airport officer with explosive anger.

The airport officer could only silently watch Devan's anger, he could not provide a solution more selalin ask Devan to wait for the next flight schedule.

Hearing the commotion, a passenger finally willing to give his ticket to Devan.it does not matter if then Devan had to pay many times for a departure ticket.

The journey of about two hours felt so long for Devan. He sat down nervously looking out the window of the plane which only showed a dark night view. He wanted to contact Diego and ask his father, but unfortunately he could not use his cell phone. Devan can only wait and wait again hoping that his father is okay.

Landing at the airport went well. After getting off the plane, Devan immediately went to the hospital where Amri was treated. Fortunately, Diego knew about the incident so that there were still people who helped his father.

“BAK!!!! TUBS!!! TUB!!!!” Devan repeatedly hit the wall of the ICU room hard as he saw his father lying helplessly in the ICU room. Medical equipment stuck to his body to help the man survive.

He snarled in annoyance while clutching his head tightly. He did not think how could Alwi be so hearty, mobilizing his people to beat Amri, until the man suffered a head injury due to collisions and blows.

This is how Alwi's wrath for his hatred never ended on Amri despite having made amends for his dozen years. His father did not even hire a lawyer to defend him. He simply followed all the demands of Alwi's lawyers and allowed himself to be in law for a dozen years without anyone defending.

Devan's heart grimaced, shattered into pieces when he saw Amri's breath gasping at the help of a rebreathing oxygen mask. He said doctors were still closely monitoring bleeding in Amri's head and anticipating the possibility of brain stem death due to a severe head injury. As cruel as this is what Alwi did to people he hated even though he was his own sister-in-law.

Akh, Devan can only lean weakly against the walls of the hospital. His body was like a boneless one supporting his body and collapsed just like that on the floor. He cried a mouthful while bowing to his head which he hid between his knees which he bent.

If only he didn't remember this was a hospital, it felt like he wanted to scream.

Someone walked up to Devan.

“Hey Buddy!” Diego touches Devan's shoulder and makes his best friend raise his head and stare at him inexplicably. His eyes were red and wet with a lot of unrest emanating from the look of his eyes.

Alwi is one of the great men in this country. He can do many things including taking the life of someone. Seeing Devan slumped and unable to do anything, Diego hugged his best friend tightly. He hopes to help calm Devan's turbulent feelings a little.

Devan was still with tears dripping down Diego's shoulder when he imagined that it was only a few moments he could get together with his father and it was not willing if then they had to go back apart. For a dozen years he lived like an orphan and was separated not only from his father but from the Amri family.

Threats after threats given Alwi makes Devan's mental really dropped when hearing his uncle's name alone, like he must prepare if bad things will happen to his life.

“****!!! DAMN IT!!”

Several times Devan hit his own head when he remembered how stubborn he was because he insisted on seeing Amri had made Alwi really fulfill his promise to destroy him and the father.

He should just obey and let Alwi live alone to keep him safe.

No, not like it should have happened.

Devan's eyes, which were originally watery, now rounded sharply when he realized that Alwi had no right to manage his life with his father. The man has no right to damage his family and to reunite Devan with his father in this cruel way.

Armed with his remaining energy, Devan pushes Diego, who is in front of him, away. He got up from his seat and felt he had to do something.

“DEVAN!! Where are going?!” Call Diego who is surprised because Devan suddenly gets up and leaves.

“It’s not your business!” Sahut Devan who continues his steps away from the presence of Diego.

“Hey Bro! Just stay here!” Diego soon catches up with Devan and blocks his steps.

Devan is determined to leave. He wanted to make a calculation with the man who made his family even more devastated.
