EPS 85 NAGARAJA
“AARGH!!!”
Dandung gasped in shock, while Ken Darsih jumped straight into the air, then landed on top of the tallest tree shoots. Her beautiful body stood up handsomely. His gaze was thrown far away, looking for the source of the sound. Obviously he heard the dragon growling furiously, but it was not his mother's voice. His mother was killed Miryam, even his tribe was burned by a warrior whom he did not know what his name was.
The sound was far from the hill of Kethileng, and came from the northern hills of the island of Java. But that voice sounded so vividly in his ears. Even Dandung who had no supernatural power could hear it clearly. Although he could not distinguish yet, the voice he heard was the roar of a tiger or a lion? Or not the sound of both, because it sounds more terrible.
“Like the sound of a wild beast growling, but it is not a Lion or a Tiger. Then what's that sound, creature so-genesis?” batin Dandung while observing the body of Ken Darsih who stood on the highest leaf without faltering in the slightest.
The young officer was instantly on guard. He's preparing his revolver back. Although only an ordinary human, but Dandung is a trained soldier who is ready to face any situation. Including events that occur outside of his reasoning. And he will protect Ken Darsih with his life, even though he knows the half-stealth girl doesn't need his help.
“Wush! Wrprr! Siuut!”
Cracks! Cretek! Brak! Boom!
Suddenly the wind blew, swinging branches and twigs in all directions. Fly dust and dry foliage, high into the air. Dragging Dandung's body a few steps back. Fortunately the trees in the thin forest were so tight, that both of his burly hands could hold between them. Some branches and twigs broke and fell to the earth.
“Ken Darsih!” his yell.
The young man no longer saw Ken Darsih in his place. The tree where he was standing was empty. There's nobody there. Dandung spread his gaze to every corner above. But the girl's body seemed lost to the wind, leaving at a speed that could not be seen by ordinary human eyes. Then where did it go?
Suddenly the wind stopped blowing. All the commotion and commotion that just happened, as if it just disappeared. The atmosphere became quiet and quiet. There was no sound, except the snorting of Dandung's hunting breath. Both of his eyeballs were spinning wildly in search of his magical girl, but did not meet her either.
“Ken Darsih! Where's you!” screamed once more.
His high voice echoed, filling the empty corners of the forest. Then it bounced back and was caught by its own ears. After that it was quiet again. Dandung was trapped in a very tense silent atmosphere. The heart rate is tighter and harder. His worry about Ken Darsih's fate made his face harden.
“I will not forgive any creature that dares to hurt my beloved, her inner”.
“HRRRGH!”
The voice rang out again, softly, more like a snort of breath. This time right behind him. Dandung's body automatically jumped, until it rolled onto the ground and hit the trunk of a large tree. He immediately turned around, his face gasping wonderfully as he looked at the giant creature he had just encountered.
“What! ….What kind of creation is that?”
In front of him appeared the head of an extremely terrifying creature as big as a house. His figure resembles the head of a monster that he often sees in Mangatoon comics. Its mouth is open, showing four fangs like a very sharp rhino horn. His forked tongue stuck out into his mouth. His two eyes were blood red, staring intently at Dandung's body. There was a golden mane that decorated his crowned head.
Even more surprised he saw Ken Darsih's body sitting between two nostrils. He did not look scared or worried at all. Even smiled familiarly, as if already knew the monster in its real form. The monster's head gently rubbed.
“Dandung,” call Ken Darsih.
Dandung did not answer. He instead pointed his revolver towards the monster.
“Ken. A...what are you doing?”
Ken Darsih smiled.
“Hrrrggh.”
The monster snarled again. His black tongue touched Dandung's body. The young man jumped straight behind. But the tongue kept hunting him, even twisting his whole body tightly. Then he lifted it into the air and sat it behind Ken Darsih. Dandung tried to thrash, but his power was no match for Nagaraja's tongue.
‘Ugh..Ughhhh..Ughhhh..Huft.!’
Ken Darsih turned his body. Both of his hands held Dandung's head firmly. Then he looked at the handsome young man's face.
“Tenum Dandung. Look me in the eye.”
Dandung can no longer move his body and head. His eyes looked at Ken Darsih's eyes deeply. Like looking at the cold shawl of Kumitir inside. Slowly the young officer's heart calmed down. His hunting-sounding breath began to slow down. His eyes began to dim, and his jaw softened.
“Release your coil Nagaraja!” ken Darsih's orders.
Although Nagaraja Baruklinting is the elder brother of Nyai Nagabadra, and the king of all the Dragon demons who control several hills and caves in the land of Java. But Ken Darsih is the warlord of the Kidul Sea kingdom in the Land area. It means that all kinds of jinn and demons are under his command.
“Good, Nyai!” sahut Nagaraja's.
Slowly he let go of the twists. And let Dandung sit face to face with his lord.
“Tenum Dandung. Breathe deeply to restore your strength,” said Ken Darsih softly.
Dandung inhaled a deep breath. And then threw it into the air.
“Huft!”
Then shook his head, dispelling his surprise. Before looking back at Ken Darsih's face.
“Ken Darsih's. You always surprise me,” he said.
Ken Darsih smiled.
“You're no longer afraid?”
Dandung shook his head.
“I've never been afraid of anyone. I'm just worried about your safety.”
Ah, what sweet words Dandung. In such moments still his lips let out romantic words. Ken Darsih who is still innocent until embarrassed to hear it. A pink tinge filled her perfectly clear face. The girl instantly turned her body, turning her back to Dandung back. How Dandung wanted to embrace that perfect body, but he felt doubtful.
“Hrrrgh.
Nagaraja's growling voice resuscitated Dandung. He just sighed, holding back his desire.
“Ken, did you say Nagaraja Baruklinting ruler of Rawa Pening hill?”
Ken Darsih nodded his head, confirming the young man's words.
“To know, Pening Swamp is a lake not a hill.”
“You're right. The Pening Swamp is a lake. But inside the lake was a hill where Rajanaga lived. In ancient times, the hill was submerged by flash floods until it sank and formed into a lake.”
Dandung nodded his head. When he was still in elementary school, his teacher told him about Nagaraja Baruklinting and the origin of the Pening Swamp.
But is it just a fairy tale?
